The Ed Asner Family Center returns for their third year retelling the classic holiday tale of “It’s a Wonderful Life” with a star studded virtual table read. The impressive cast includes Brendan Fraser, Seth Rogen, Fred Armisen, JK Simmons, Jean Smart, Ken Jeong, Jim Beaver, Brent Spiner, Phil Lamarr, Chelsea Darnell, Ben Mankiewicz, and more.

Due to popular demand, The Den Theatre has added a fourth performance of comedian Pete Holmes’ upcoming stand-up tour on Saturday, November 12 at 9:45 pm. Pete Holmes Live: Where Were We plays November 10 – 12, 2022 on The Den’s Heath Mainstage.

The Museum of Modern Art announces its selection of the best and boldest films of 2022 for the 15th annual edition of The Contenders, running November 10, 2022, through January 19, 2023. MoMA's annual end-of-year series offers audiences the opportunity to catch up on the year's most noteworthy films, with special presentations and post screening conversations with filmmakers and actors.

The Den Theatre will present Pete Holmes Live: Where Were We, featuring three evenings of stand-up comedy November 10 – 12, 2022 on The Heath Mainstage.

This Labor Day Weekend, two-time Emmy Award-winning comedian, actress, writer and producer Sarah Silverman will be joined by comedian, actor, and writer Atsuko Okatsuka, comedian Todd Glass and comedian and television producer Rory Albanese during a one-night-only engagement of “Sarah Silverman & Friends” at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022.

Netflix’s pop culture phenomenon, Stranger Things, is part of a three-way tie with the Hulu comedy, Only Murders in the Building, and the Hulu Limited Series, Dopesick with a total of 9 nominations each. Stranger Things has been the talk of social media ever since its season four debut on May 27th.

Michael Shannon will be making his directorial debut with Eric Larue, a movie based on the Brett Neveu play that debuted in 2002 at A Red Orchid Theatre in Chicago. Neveu is also adapting the script.

The film also stars Halston Sage (“Paper Towns,” “Neighbors,” “Before I Fall,” “X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” “The Last Summer”), Andrew Richardson (“The Independent,” “Killer Among Us,” “A Call to Spy”) and Emmy Award nominee Aidan Quinn (“Practical Magic,”  “Legends of the Fall,” “Elementary,” “Law& Order: SVU,” “The American Guest”).

Inspīr Carnegie Hill will  present the award-winning one woman show BIG DUMMY, written & performed by comedian Mary Dimino, winner of a United Solo of Theatre Row award this Saturday June 25th at 8pm.

The daring series created by Robert Siegel (The Wrestler, Big Fan) features Lily James (Cinderella, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again), Sebastian Stan (Captain American: The Winter Solider, The Covenant), Seth Rogen (This Is the End, Superbad), Nick Offerman (“The Great North,” “Parks and Recreation”), and Taylor Schilling (“Orange Is the New Black”).

Cast slated to appear in the series will include Rosanna Arquette (Florida Man, Love is Love is Love), Melinda McGraw (Mad Men and The Dark Knight), Frank Grillo (Kingdom, Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard), Dennis Haysbert (Lucifer, The Unit), and Dee Wallace (E.T., Cujo).

Disney+ announced that Saara Chaudry ('The Mysterious Benedict Society,' 'Holly Hobbie') and Anders Holm ('Workaholics,' 'Inventing Anna') have been cast as Hannah and JJ in the live-action series, 'The Muppets Mayhem,' joining Lilly Singh ('A Little Late with Lilly Singh,' “Dollface”) and Tahj Mowry ('Smart Guy,' 'Baby Daddy').
