Just last night, Second Stage Theater celebrated its 40th Birthday Gala with a special concert performance last night, May 6 at Hammerstein Ballroom, headlined by Emmy and Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth.

Lively McCabe Entertainment Co-President Michael Barra proudly announces the expansion of their Columbus Circle office with the hiring of two key executives, Darnetha Lincoln M'Baye and Molly Israel Paul. Ms. M'Baye has joined the company as VP, Head of Music and will be responsible for managing the company's content partnerships with the major music publishers, as well as overseeing the packaging of all music intellectual property elements into the company's stage, film, and television development slates. Also joining Lively McCabe this month is Molly Israel Paul, who will serve as Creative Executive, focusing on the development of new plays adapted from existing IP for the company's exclusive HollyWay collection at Dramatists Play Service. Lively McCabe is also pleased to announce that Jen Bender and Allison Bressi will begin working with the company this month as Creative Development Consultants and will each oversee the development of select stage musicals on behalf of the company.

Lively McCabe Entertainment Co-President Michael Barra proudly announces a slate of three new stage musicals in partnership with licensing agency Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW) and music powerhouse BMG. These initial three projects, all which will have premiere productions in 2020 (TBA), will feature select music from the BMG catalog, as part of their previously announced partnership with Lively McCabe.

Roundabout Theatre Company will host their fifth annual Casino Night, at the American Airlines Theatre (227 W. 42nd St). All proceeds benefit Roundabout Theatre Company's many programs, including the Education programs, the Theatrical Workforce Development Program and Artist Residencies.

Audiences have started to listen again at Studio 54. That's because Children of a Lesser God is back, and it officially opened last night on Broadway. Directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon, Children of a Lesser God stars film and television favorite Joshua Jackson and breakout star Lauren Ridloff, alongside Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award winner Anthony Edwards, Drama Desk Award nominee and Obie Award winner Kecia Lewis, Julee Cerda, Treshelle Edmond, and John McGinty. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) announces additional casting for The 24 Hour Plays Off-Broadway.

On Monday, April 9, Roundabout Theatre Company's Roundabout Underground playwriting alumni will gather to present The 24 Hour Plays Off-Broadway. Six playwrights, six directors, 24 actors and a musical guest will perform six brand new short plays written & rehearsed over the course of a single day. The performance will begin at 8:00pm at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street).
