Claire Satin, Internationally Acclaimed Artist Brings Sculptural Works To Pompano Beach

Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA) is proud to present Large Scale Constructions by  Claire Satin, featuring an overview of the internationally acclaimed artist's large sculptural works primarily from the 1980's and 1990's. Satin has had an extensive exhibition and collections history in the U.S. and Europe and is known for her use of a vast range of different materials, mediums and environments to create  notion-challenging artwork. The exhibition will be on view from January 3 - February 26, 2020. The free opening reception is Friday, January 3 from 6pm-10pm during Old Town Untapped. QED Releases Schedule for 12/29 – 01/07

Here are some of the highlighted events coming to QED from Dec. 29 - Jan. 7, including: Evan Forde Barden and Patrick Cartelli host music podcast Repeater's Top 10 Coundown of 2019 (Dec. 29); NYE fun with Christian Finnegan, Usama Siddiquee, Sam Morrison, Courney Fearrington, Lauren Hope Crass, and Erin Maguire at QED's New Year's Eve Spectacular (Jan. 31); host Oril Matlow and guests revisit their favorite hopelessly-dated material at Comedy Time Machine (Jan. 2); Liz Simons & Jenn Wehrung host a night filled with their favorite local comedians at Laugh It Up, Astoria! (Jan. 2); Krowdwerk, an improvised comedy show based completely on the time-honored tradition of doing crowd-work (Jan. 3); a Golden Globes Watch Party & Trivia night (Jan. 5); and, much more!

URBAN STAGES WINTER RHYTHMS 2019 Begins on December 11

Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director and Tom Toce , Musical Director) announces the line-up for this year's award-winning series, WINTER RHYTHMS 2019, which will begin Wednesday, December 11 featuring some of New York's best musical performances through Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th St., East of 8th Ave.)

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre Will Host Improv Classes

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, will offer Improv Classes for adults and teens at the Beginner and Intermediate levels this winter. Dreamcatcher revised our class levels recently to reflect the growth and diversity of our students. Those who want to continue their improv education have the opportunity to study further in the program by returning to the correct level. This way students can more deeply explore skills and gain experience in techniques that are only introduced in one session.

PB Poetry Festival 2020 Announces Winners Of Fellowships And Scholarships

Susan R. Williamson, Director of the Palm Beach Poetry Festival (PBPF), today announced the five winners of Fellowships and Scholarships to the 16h annual Festival, scheduled for January 20-25 at Old School Square in Delray Beach. The three Poetry Festival Fellowships cover full tuition and lodging for the recipients.

Parity Productions Awards Shualee Cook And Gina Femia Awarded 2019 Annual Parity Commission

Theatre production company Parity Productions, a producer of new work that ensures they fill at least 50% of the creative positions (playwrights, directors, and designers) on their productions with women and/or trans and gender nonconforming (TGNC) artists, has awarded two commissions to Shualee Cook for Cercle Hermaphroditos and Gina Femia for you know, that Bakery out in Bensonhurst that don't got a name. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, October 16th at the third annual Parity Awards Ceremony and Celebration at Theaterlab.
