Aurora Theatre Company continues its dynamic 27th season with an Aurora classic, Oscar Wilde's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. Newly announced incoming artistic director Josh Costello (Eureka Day, The Heir Apparent, Detroit) directs this uproarious farce about two young couples in the pursuit of love that upends social conventions with wildly subversive humor.

Theater for the New City takes you to the past where theater ghosts enlighten the present in Ghost Light Now & Then, a new play by Barbara Kahn.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley brings an enchanted bestseller to life for the holidays with the regional premiere of Tuck Everlasting. Set in the 1890s, free-spirited Winnie Foster searches for adventure, finding the Tucks, a close-knit family that has discovered the secret to everlasting life. Winnie faces the choice of a lifetime: return to everyday life, or join the Tucks on their infinite, irreversible voyage through time. Directed by TheatreWorks Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley, Tuck Everlasting will be presented November 28 - December 30 at Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Rd., Palo Alto.

On Today, September 21 at 6 pm, the Napa Valley Museum Yountville will continue its popular "In Conversation" series of speaking events with "Compassionate Action," a discussion of how to turn our individual compassion into positive action for the benefit of others, our world and ourselves. Actor and activist Peter Coyote will join his friend: vintner and humanitarian Dick Grace, for a frank and lively exchange of ideas about channeling frustration into renewed energy, turning anger into empathy, and how to avoid feeling overwhelmed by the scope of the challenges facing us by making small steps individually, or as part of a larger movement, to build the foundation for lasting change.

California Shakespeare Theater announced today the cast of the return engagement of its record-breaking hit play black odyssey, playing September 25 through October 7, 2018 at the Bruns Amphitheater.

The New York Butoh Institute and Vangeline Theater present the New York Butoh Institute Festival 2018, a celebration of diversity in butoh featuring 16 artists from Japan, Brazil, Chile, UK, Israel, Italy, Germany, France, Costa Rica, Spain, and the United States. Thicket & Thistle, the New York City theater company comprised of actor-musicians who blur the lines between author, performer, and orchestra, are excited to announced that its original musical What's Your Wish? will make its Off-Broadway debut this July as part of the 2018 New York Musical Festival's Next Link Project.

Following a critically acclaimed run in New Orleans, Keith Moon: The Real Me will arrive at the Hudson Theatre Mainstage in Hollywood on Friday, March 23 for a limited four-week engagement. Written and performed by Mick Berry with songs by Pete Townshend, the music director is Frank Simes, and the show is directed by Nancy Carlin. The limited engagement will continue through April 15 only.

Jobsite Theater brings George Orwell's dystopic literary masterpiece 1984 to life in a gripping stage adaptation by Michael Gene Sullivan from April 27 - May 20, 2018, in the Shimberg Playhouse at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts where they are resident theater company.

Due to popular demand, The Marsh San Francisco will extend Josh Kornbluth's insightful Josh's Brain Improvs until the end of 2018. Originally set to close March 28, the show will continue every other month on the final Wednesday of each month, with his last performance scheduled for November 28, 2018

Yale Repertory Theatre (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) presents Father Comes Home From the Wars, Parts 1, 2 & 3 by Suzan-Lori Parks, directed by Liz Diamond, March 16-April 7, at the University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is Thursday, March 22. Father Comes Home From the Wars, Parts 1, 2 & 3 is a co-production with San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, where it will play April 25-May 20.
