Playhouse (Malena Grandio, Partner) has announced the world premiere of Invasive Species, written by Maia Novi (Girls) and directed by Pulitzer Prize finalist Michael Breslin (Circle Jerk). Assistant directed by Louisa Jacobson (“The Gilded Age”) with dramaturgy by Amauta M. Firmino (Slave Play), Invasive Species began performances on Saturday June 3 at The Tank (312 W 36th St, New York, NY, 10018) and will run through Sunday June 11, 2023. The Tank in association with Playhouse presents INVASIVE SPECIES, a new play by Maia Novi, directed by Pulitzer Prize finalist Michael Breslin (Circle Jerk, This American Wife), his first solo directing project. The play follows a young Latina actress as she navigates mental health issues and the challenges of fitting into the American entertainment industry as an immigrant artist. Invasive Species will run from June 3 - 11 at The Tank.

Spend your summer gaining a working and rigorous understanding of the Atlantic Technique. This rigorous introductory program challenges students to embody Atlantic’s Acting Technique, Practical Aesthetics – as outlined in A Practical Handbook for the Actor.

For the fifth consecutive year, Rover Dramawerks is pleased to present a festival of 10-minute comedies. Selected from over 300 plays submitted blind from playwrights all over the world, nine short plays will be presented July 25 - August 10. Performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Rover Dramawerks, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W.
