As the Bay Area's shelter-in-place continues, The Marsh offers a variety of programming at 7:30pm nightly on MarshStream, its popular broadcast platform. Offerings this month include a story about a vacation on the cusp of the COVID-19 pandemic, restorative yoga, a visit with a top Bay Area director, and much more (see latest schedule below).

The Academy of Scoring Arts, the leading community of industry professionals dedicated to the art of scoring, is for the first time making its programming available to the world at large. For over 10 years, the ASA has produced salon-style score study and composition-related events held almost exclusively in Los Angeles. Through their new membership-based structure, they are making available more than 100 recorded panel discussions, score studies, and interviews to the worldwide community of film, television, game, trailer, media music professionals, and fans.

In only it's second year, the Wet Paint - New Play Festival has managed to round up B'way veterans (Johanna Leister, Layan Elwazani), TV stars (Christopher Shyer, Rachel Handler), & Amazon Best-Selling authors (Edward Medina) to participate in a barebones development series of short-performances. This year's festival has a theme: Walls, and with that theme, Point-Blank Theatre Co. received a unique submission. William Hobbs, a member of Voices Inside, an inmate writing/theatre program at Northpoint Training Center in KY, submitted his play, A Spider's Web and was accepted among dozens of NYC playwright applicants.

Dirt Dogs Theatre Co. (DDTCo.) proudly presents its Season 4 lineup for 2019-2020. The season opens with a very human look at race relations in America with the regional premiere of White Guy on the Bus by Bruce Graham. Following, is another regional premiere, the unrelenting tragedy, The Dead Eye Boy by Angus MacLachlan. Season 4 concludes with the political drama, Farragut North by House of Cards creator, Beau Willimon. All productions will be performed at MATCH in Midtown Houston.

ASCAP, the world leader in performing rights and advocacy for music creators, today kicks off its renowned annual ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop for an historic 30th year. Mentored by Emmy Award-winning composer Richard Bellis and produced by ASCAP Film & TV executives Michael Todd and Jennifer Harmon, the comprehensive 4-week program in Los Angeles is known in Hollywood circles for grooming some of the film and TV industry's top composers, connecting them with agents, music supervisors, attorneys and A-list Hollywood studio executives. The 12 composer participants for this year's program were revealed today.
