Opera Orlando concludes its 2022-23 Opera Everlasting season On the Town with something a little different—Baseball: a Musical Love Letter.

A Class Act NY Acting Studio will offer New York City an amusingly different way to think about everyone's favorite fairy tale characters through their production of Into the Woods JR. The show is double cast and features students ages 6 - 15!  

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston continues its mission to fuse education and audience entertainment through musical theatre in its 54th Season, bringing two timeless and timely classics, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma! (June 23 - July 2, 2023) and Disney's TheLittle Mermaid (July 28 - August 6, 2023) to life on stage this summer.

What did our critic think of THE WINTER'S TALE at Hartford Stage? The Winter's Tale, currently at Hartford Stage through May 7 and directed by Artistic Director Melia Bensussen, confronts an audience with a story difficult to believe from the start, whether or not one is a Shakespeare fan. Add to this Bensussen's vision, which includes problematic design elements and some unfortunate casting, and you have a version of the play that leaves us relatively unmoved. This is a shame, as The Winter's Tale is not often performed, and I was very eager to see it at this historically revered home for Shakespeare productions.

All new rehearsal images have been released of Mike Faist and Lucas Hedges, who make their London stage debuts in the world premiere of Brokeback Mountain, a new play with music, written by Ashley Robinson with songs by Dan Gillespie Sells, based on Annie Proulx’s short story, and directed by Jonathan Butterell. 

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announced the dates for its annual Voices of Now Festival (VON), a four-night showcase of new plays written and performed by nine ensembles of young and emerging artists from D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

Entr'Acte Theatrix will present what Variety's Charles Isherwood called “a rip-roaring, gut-busting, rib-tickling, knee-slapping, aisle-rolling … good time” musical at the Willow Theatre at Sugar Sand Park. The show will open on May 19th and run through June 4th.

Arden Theatre Company is diving into spring with the TONY Award winning hit musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. With music and lyrics by William Finn and a book by Rachel Sheinkin, this hilarious and heartfelt musical, conceived by Rebecca Feldman, takes audiences into the heart of a Spelling Bee and the important moments of growing up that shape the people we become. The centerpiece of MerleFest 2023—which took place this past weekend, April 27-30, in Wilkesboro, North Carolina—was the all-encompassing celebration of what would have been MerleFest founder Doc Watson's 100th birthday.

A fantastic alien universe descends on North Philadelphia as audiences are invited into the premiere of Other Orbits, a science fiction immersive experience. From Applied Mechanics comes a spectacular, accessible installation where audiences can interact with alien species - mysterious AIs, walruses made of fungi, sentient microphones, flirtatious bacteria and many more. The immersive experience takes over the entirety of Standby Stages film studio in Kensington to create a truly unforgettable, 360 degree experience that transports audiences to another world from July 9 through 22.

The Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center on the campus of California State University, Long Beach concludes their 2022-2023 season with star of Broadway and TV, Terron Brooks in The Soul of Broadway, Unplugged on Wednesday May 10 and Thursday May 11 at 7 p.m. J
