You gotta admit: A lot has changed in this world since Nashville audiences were first treated to The Book of Mormon two years ago. The extended run in 2014 at Tennessee Performing Arts Center set records for ticket sales, garnered great critical acclaim and knocked the socks off the thousands of people witnessing the bold, brash and irreverent musical for the very first time.

Due to unprecedented demand, new seats for The Book of Mormon go on sale to the general public today. Bookings for the award-winning musical have now been extended to 30 April 2017 at Melbourne's Princess Theatre.

For the 'first time in forever,' the beloved animated hit 'Frozen' is getting the Disney Cruise Line theatrical treatment as a new stage show exclusively aboard the Disney Wonder.

Following in the footsteps of Sara Bareilles' song written from President Obama's point of view (and featuring vocals from Tony Winner Leslie Odom Jr.), This American Life commissioned Frozen songwriters, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, to write a song as the inner monologue of Republican Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan. 

Disney's Academy Award®-winning FROZEN the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, will make its network broadcast premiere as part of the Wonderful World of Disney on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11 (8:00-10:04 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network.

Following record breaking and sold out engagements in 2013 and 2014, THE BOOK OF MORMON, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins November 1 at The Fisher Theater in Detroit and plays a limited two week engagement through November 13.  In Detroit, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 apiece (includes at $4 restoration fee).

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, a two-time Tony Award winner and latest recipient of the National Medal of Arts, is now accepting projects for development during the 2017 National Music Theater Conference. Applicants may submit music theater works for consideration through Friday, November 18th, 2016.

As per a casting notice previously posted on BWW, a month-long lab for Disney's highly-anticipated stage adaptation of FROZEN begins today in New York City and will continue through Friday, November 18th.

Cleveland State University's Department of Theatre and Dance, a Resident Company of Playhouse Square, starts out the 2016-2017 Theatre season with Tony Award "Triple Crown" winner Avenue Q, running October 27 - November 6 in the Allen Theatre. 

AVENUE Q with music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, and book by Jeff Whitty, opens at Vagabond Theatre in Fell's Point on October 21st and runs though November 20th.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Iowa City for the week ending October 16, 2016 at Hancher Auditorium grossing $1,197,605.50 for a standard 8-performance week.

Entries will be accepted at the box office beginning two and a half hours prior to each performance; each person will print their name and the number of tickets, 1 or 2, they wish to purchase on a card that is provided. Two hours before curtain, names will be drawn at random for a limited number of tickets priced at $25 each. Only one entry is allowed per person. Cards are checked for duplication prior to drawing. Winners must be present at the time of the drawing and show valid ID to purchase tickets. Limit one entry per person and two tickets per winner. Tickets are subject to availability.
