Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, has announced an exciting quartet of shows for their 23rd season of Broadway in Concert musicals.  The MTG 2018-2019 season includes: MAME, ZORBA, MINNIE'S BOYS and SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE.

Theater's power to illuminate and to elucidate even while offering diverting entertainment has perhaps never been felt so strongly as in Nashville Repertory Theatre's engaging version of Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee's Inherit the Wind, a fictionalized account of the 1925 Scopes Monkey Trial in Dayton, Tennessee, now onstage at TPAC's Andrew Johnson Theatre through April 25.

Until, Until, Until is an investigation and meditation on the infamous 1981 performance by Broadway legend Ben Vereen, televised nationally as part of Ronald Reagan's inaugural celebration.

The Vagabond Players continue their 102nd season with the provocative courtroom drama INHERIT THE WIND written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee and directed by Sherrionne Brown. Opening January 5 and running through February 4, this fictional depiction of of the 1925 Scopes 'Monkey' Trial, in which a schoolteacher is tried for teaching evolution, eloquently champions one of our most precious rights -- the freedom of thought.

Much has been written and said about America's most famous First Lady. However, one detail usually omitted from the story is that she was human. Award-winning playwright Tom Dugan's one-woman drama Jackie Unveiled starring Saffron Burrows (Amazon's Mozart in the Jungle ) dares to peek behind the fa ade of America's most private public figure.

A Civil War Christmas is a nice escape for folks that are getting a bit of a toothache from the glittery, schmaltzy, and sentimental Christmas plays foisted upon us this time of year. Written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Paula Vogel (for How I Learned to Drive ), A Civil War Christmas is historical fiction circa 1864, a birds-eye view of Civil War-torn America. Infused with hymnals, Union and Confederate songs, and Christmas carols, this musical time capsule bursts at the seams with a myriad of storylines. From slave to president, from Confederate to Union, for better or for worse, Vogel made sure to not miss anybody in this theatric nativity.

The opening of DEAR WORLD at O'Connell & Company will be postponed one week due to a cast member illness. We will open on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 7:30pm, Performance dates for DEAR WORLD - A Musical Fable are September 28 - October 22, 2017. One Sunday evening performance has been added, October 15, 2017 at 7pm.
