Over the weekend, Emmy-nominated Broadway star Tituss Burgess made his Carnegie Hall debut in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage with a tribute concert to the music of Stephen Sondheim. Titled Take Me to the World, guest artists included Jane Krakowski, Orfeh, Michael McElroy and Lillias White. Directed by Gabriel Vega Weissman with music direction by Charlie Rosen, the program focused on the music of Sondheim - on the occasion of his upcoming 90th birthday - and its singular impact on Burgess's life and artistic trajectory.

BroadwayWorld is sad to report that producer Rich Affannato died on January 11, 2019. According to his husband, Hamilton's Gregory Treco - 'The world lost a great light on Saturday the 11th at 7:21pm. My brave, talented, creative, giving husband of 16 years, left this earth surrounded by his closest friends and family. The pain is unbearable and I am just trying to pick up the pieces at this time.'

Situation, a leading digital marketing agency, has announced the opening of a London office. Group Director Pippa Bexon, who has been in the NYC office since 2015 and has previously worked in the West End, will take the new title London Head of Account Management. Bexon will lead the UK-based accounts with a local London team in addition to the support of the US operations.

On this sixth day of the 12 days of Christmas, I need to thank BroadwayWorld, Robert Diamond and Nicole Rosky for asking me to curate this year's edition. I never dreamed it would be so much fun and bring back so many memories of holiday seasons past. Here's an iconic group, The Temptations, singing 'Silent Night.' We had many albums in our home by the legendary Motown group, but this one was definitely played over and over during the holidays. I immediately flash to my high school and college years when I hear it. Magic.

Aisha Jackson and Alyssa Fox of Broadway's Frozen continue their campaign for Gun Reform after a successful concert November 4th at Middle Collegiate Church. The Broadway stars treated a packed house of concertgoers with roof raising vocal selections. The night was featured speeches from activists, Broadway performers, and representatives from Mom's Deman Action. Donations are still being accepted until Monday November 11, 2019.
