The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa's Department of Theatre and Dance and Kennedy Theatre will be hosting a celebration of the life and career of Terence a?oeTerrya?? Knapp on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Doors will open at 5:00pm, participants will be welcome to visit with one another on the upper lanai; the formal Celebration will begin at 5:30pm in the Kennedy Theatre auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public. 

Broadway in Bryant Park is back! 106.7 LITE FM's popular series brought the best of Broadway and Off-Broadway together for FREE performances, for six consecutive weeks, concluding yesterday, August 15.

Shonagh Murray and Lydia Davidson formed Fearless Players after graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2018. They premiered Armour: A Herstory of the Scottish Bard at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The show is more of a natural extension of The Corries rather than just a tribute to the band, as the songs and stories are always evolving. From the song collections of Robert Burns and Sir Walter Scott to the much more modern Green Fields of France, The Sorries' setlist cannot fail to impress.

Fearless Players return to the Edinburgh Fringe with a polished version of their musical, Armour: A Herstory of the Scottish Bard. They present an engaging hour that tells the story of the women left behind by Robert Burns after his death.

Burns: A Lost Legacy, directed by Melanie Bell, tells the story of Robert Burns' granddaughter, Sarah (Bethany Tennick) and her fight to keep the royalties for her grandfather's poems in the family.

July 21st marks the death of renowned Scottish poet Robert Burns. After many centuries of celebrating the remarkable poets birthday on January 25th with 'Burns Night' Suppers and nights of dancing and sipping fine Scottish Whiskey, one composer bids him farewell. Tish Tindall, AKA The Fabulous TT created an original musical of the man himself, simply entitled 'Robert Burns the Musical'.

Off-Broadway Producers John Lant and Tamra Pica, in association with Write Act Repertory, are pleased to announce another extension, into its 3rd year, of their world premiere FRANKENSTEIN, a new romantic musical based on Mary Shelley's novel, with book, music and lyrics by Eric B. Sirota and directed by Clint Hromsco. The production opened October 2, 2017, and now plays on a new day of the week, Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m., beginning July 2, 2019.

June 1st 2019: Scottish performer Tish Tindall AKA, The Fabulous TT will release her latest body of work entitled 'Piano Fifty', A clever play on words to celebrate her milestone birthday. The first single 'You're in My Head' which will be the title song for the feature film 'Catch the Moon Mary' will be released on June 9th to celebrate Tishs big day!

To commemorate Whitman's 200th birthday on May 31, 2019, this landmark exhibition showcases New York's role in the extraordinary transformation of Walter Whitman Jr. to 'Walt Whitman, a kosmos, of Manhattan the son.' On public view at the Grolier Club from May 15 to July 27, 2019, the exhibition brings together over 200 extraordinary books, manuscripts, photographs, and other objects to show how this obscure young New Yorker transformed himself into one of America's great artists, the Poet of the Body: New York's Walt Whitman.

Tony Award-winner (Cabaret) Scottish-born Alan Cumming returns to the Van Wezel with his new show Legal Immigrant, celebrating his ten years as a US citizen, growing older and what it feels like to be an immigrant in today's America. Alan, known for his role as Eli Gold on The Good Wife and as co-host of the Tony Awards in 2015, will take the Van Wezel stage on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 8 p.m. for an evening of live entertainment you won't want to miss!

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presented cellist Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf in her return to the stage with 'More About the Melody: Celtic Night - Songs of Ireland and Scotland,' on Monday, February 4.

On Today, January 25, 2019, NapaShakes celebrates the birthday of Scotland's Bard: Robert Burns, and the music, food and culture of Scotland, with its first ever Burns Night Supper. Guests will savor the words of Scotland's greatest poet (and a bit of Shakespeare's Macbeth) accompanied by bagpipes and a lively Ceilidh band, plus engaging performances by two acclaimed actors from Britain and Broadway: Jane Carr and Victor Talmadge. The evening includes a delicious Napa Valley-style feast with traditional haggis (meat or vegetarian), neeps and tatties, and other delights in the candle-lit Gallery of St. Helena's Brasswood Napa Valley. The event is for age 21 and older, and attendees are welcome (but not required) to wear kilts and other traditional attire.
