Scottish Composer Bids Farewell To Great Poet Robert Burns Image

July 21st marks the death of renowned Scottish poet Robert Burns. After many centuries of celebrating the remarkable poets birthday on January 25th with 'Burns Night' Suppers and nights of dancing and sipping fine Scottish Whiskey, one composer bids him farewell. Tish Tindall, AKA The Fabulous TT created an original musical of the man himself, simply entitled 'Robert Burns the Musical'.

Listen to Roberts Farewell HERE!

With the guidance of the late David Gest, Tish based the play on an idea he and the infamous Michael Jackson had and created a hilarious, harrowing and heartwarming play about Robert Burns being alive and well and living in the modern world! It follows the story of love, Scotland and one man's struggle to redefine his pride of worth.

"When I first met David I was absolutely blown away to hear how much he knew about Robert Burns. He and Michael Jackson had been huge fans of his poetry and the universal language of his writing". Said Tindall. "Being Scottish, I think I took Robert Burns for granted until I met David. As I researched his wider appeal I began to understand his huge international relevance, his global influence and why his words, became so influential to Abraham Lincoln".

The Fabulous TT will release the song entitled 'Roberts Farewell' ahead of her album 'Piano Fifty' in celebration of Roberts life and death in this stunning piece on July 21st 2019.

Robert Burns The Musical will be playing at this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2019, visit https://tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/robert-burns-the-musical for tickets and info!
