OYL Theater Company has announced its 2025 International Performance Residency in India, Japan, and Greece June 9-August 10, 2025. Applications are open.

New Performance Traditions will present a new production of Both Eyes Open, an experimental electroacoustic opera by Brooklyn-based composer Max Giteck Duykers and Berkeley-based librettist and playwright Philip Kan Gotanda.

New Performance Traditions and Oakland Theater Project will present the San Francisco performances of Ghost Quartet, a song cycle about love, death, and whiskey from Tony-nominated composer and playwright Dave Malloy.

Dave Malloy's GHOST QUARTET will be performed in San Francisco from December 5-8, 2024. The show explores themes of love, death, and whiskey through a unique blend of music and storytelling.

This song cycle takes the audience on a journey through lands and stories and time with bits of familiar things as guides. A puzzle within a puzzle disguised as a fable, the show captivates both mind and heart.

To share a hit show of its Spring season with the largest possible audience, Theater for the New City (TNC), Crystal Field, Executive Artistic Director, will remount its production of 'Orson's Shadow,' written by Austin Pendleton and directed by Mr. Pendleton and his longtime close friend and colleague David Schweizer.
