Tanglewood is announcing an update to its 2021 Popular Artist performances, many of which were originally slated to take place in June and July.

MN Black Theatre Circle, in partnership with the Guthrie Theater, will present Blackness Is…, a theater-inspired arts festival to be streamed May 21–22 at 7:30 p.m. and May 23 at 7 p.m. CDT. Over the course of three days, the festival will offer a dynamic and diverse showcase of theater, music, dance, poetry and spoken word.

The Pegasus Opera Company will present 'Legacy & Hope,' a concert celebrating Black History Month. This free performance can be viewed at 7.30pm on Sunday 25 October.

Club Passim is launching a new virtual music festival, the KEEP YOUR DISTANCE FEST, to benefit the newly created Passim Emergency Artist Relief (PEAR) Fund. Named for the Richard Thompson song, a?oeKeep Your Distance,a?? the festival will feature musicians Mark Erelli, Erin McKeown, Stephen Kellogg and dozens of others practicing social distancing in at-home videos sharing songs about staying calm, hope and sticking together. Due to COVID-19, Club Passim has closed and canceled all shows through at least April 6; the pandemic has also greatly impacted the lives of independent musicians through canceled gigs and in-person music lessons. The impact has led to many musicians giving up income that they could not afford to lose.
