As the multi award-winning Come From Away prepares to welcome audiences back to the Phoenix Theatre in London from 22 July, the international hit musical today announces its extension in the West End until February 2022.

The Olivier Award-wining West End production of COME FROM AWAY celebrated its first birthday at Phoenix Theatre tonight (11 March), and officially welcomed to the Rock 10 new cast members. Helping usher the show into its second year were two very special Gander guests: the real Bonnie Harris and Brian Mosher. Watch the videos below!

As the Olivier Award-winning a?oeBest New Musicala?? Come From Away enters its second year in the West End, it welcomes new cast members from Monday 10 February 2020. This joyous musical tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded air passengers during the wake of 9/11, and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed, and nerves ran high, but as uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

El pianista Carlos Alberto Pecero (1963), integrante de la agrupación Concertistas de Bellas Artes y uno de los intérpretes con mayor reconocimiento internacional, falleció este miércoles. Su amplia trayectoria en el ámbito musical le permitió contar con distinciones y presentaciones al lado de grandes figuras, como los violonchelistas Yo-Yo Ma y Mstislav Rostropovich, así como la flautista Elena Durán.

San Diego Opera's 2019-2020 season continues with a special one-night-only event on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 7:30 PM when soprano Ailyn Pérez and tenor Joshua Guerrero perform in concert at the Balboa Theatre. They will be accompanied by pianist Abdiel Vázquez. Ailyn Pérez is no stranger to San Diego Opera, having made her Company debut as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet in 2010, returning to sing Marguerite in Faust in 2011, and in recital in 2014. In demand at all the major opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, and Opéra National de Paris, Ms. Pérez is the winner of the 2012 Richard Tucker Award, the 15th annual Plácido Domingo Award, and the 14th annual Opera News Award. 

San Diego Opera's 2019-2020 season continues with a special one-night-only event on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 7:30 PM when soprano Ailyn Pérez and tenor Joshua Guerrero perform in concert at the Balboa Theatre.

Con la intención de recordar el centenario luctuoso de El Caudillo del Sur, la mezzosoprano María Luisa Tamez y el pianista Carlos Alberto Pecero ofrecerán el programa especial In memoriam al general Zapata, conformado por corridos, composiciones musicales de la época de la Revolución y canciones de dominio popular, el próximo 19 de julio, a las 19:00 horas, en el Jardín Borda de Cuernavaca, Morelos.

La obra de tres grandes compositores mexicanos: Salvador Contreras, Ricardo Castro y Alfredo Carrasco, será interpretada por el Cuarteto Saloma, bajo la dirección de Luis Samuel Saloma Alcalá, en concierto el sábado 13 de julio en el Salón de Recepciones del Museo Nacional de Arte y el domingo 14 en la Sala Manuel M. Ponce del Palacio de Bellas Artes, a las 11:30 y 17:00 horas, respectivamente.

Un viaje musical más allá de las fronteras formará parte del concierto que ofrecerá el reconocido pianista Edison Quintana, quien se presentará el domingo 28 de abril a las 13:30 en el Museo José Luis Cuevas, en el marco del ciclo Jazz y algo más.
