Full casting is now set for the Broadway premiere of The Outsiders, the new musical based on the seminal novel by S.E. Hinton & Francis Ford Coppola’s landmark motion picture.

MJ features a book by two-time Pulitzer Prize® winner Lynn Nottage and a score made up of some of the best-loved, top-selling songs in recording history. Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon directs and choreographs.

Inspired by the life and art of Michael Jackson, learn more about the cast bringing this new musical to the stage!

In MJ, “Young Michael” appears at age 10 and should have an unchanged singing voice. Performers may be older or younger to audition, as long as they are still able to sing in Young Michael's range.

MJ Director and Tony Award-winning Choreographer Christopher Wheeldon is introducing a unique part of his creative team – Rich + Tone Talauega, who will focus particularly on Michael Jackson movement.

Murder, mystery, and mayhem are on display in Jewel Box Theatre's THE VULTURES. This ensemble piece features a will, a way, and a whacky family who's vying for the fortune and keys to the castle. Jewel Box Theatre's Award Winning play from 2018 comes to life, but not without controversy. The robust play is performed well by the cast of pros.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, City Center cancelled the remainder of its season due to the current health crisis. One production that was cancelled, was Love Life, which was set to run March 18 - 22, starring Kate Baldwin and Brian Stokes Mitchell. However, Jack Viertel, Encores! Artistic Director, has some promising news.

New York City Center today announced complete casting for the Encores! production of Love Life. Joining previously announced cast members Kate Baldwin (Susan Cooper) and Brian Stokes Mitchell (Sam Cooper) are John Edwards (Hobo), Sara Jean Ford (Miss Ideal Man), Isabella Houston (Elizabeth Cooper), Owen Tabaka (Johnny Cooper), and Clarke Thorell (Bill/Mr. Cynic).

I'm probably not the only person catching their first professional production of Oklahoma! with the Denver Center Theatre Company. While the first Rodgers and Hammerstein collaboration has been performed plenty since its Broadway premiere in 1943, the DCPA's production is unique-nearly the entire cast is comprised of African-American performers.
