Road Less Traveled Productions has announced UnScripted: Comedy Improv Night, its new weekly series (during regularly scheduled RLTP productions). UnScripted will take place select Wednesdays at 7:30pm at the Road Less Traveled Theater.

It's good to be reminded that there was a time when manners mattered, albeit at the expense of social end economic hierarchy. Oscar Wilde's delightful THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, now playing at Buffalo's Irish Classical Theatre Company , is a gem of a production  worthy of it's own notoriety. 

The stage can bring you to places never dreamed of before, but what about places that are even beyond your dreams...or nightmares. Lucas Hnath's THE THIN PLACE, now playing at Road Less Traveled Theatre, brings the audience along for a fascinating ride in this interactive play. The result is nothing short of brilliant as it's four players delve into a world that can only be experienced with the help of psychics or mediums.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) begins 2023 with The Thin Place by Lucas Hnath.  The Thin Place will open Thursday February 23 starring David Mitchell*, Kristen Tripp Kelley*, Margaret Massman and Renee Landrigan under the direction of RLTP Artistic Director Scott Behrend. 

Musicalfare Theatre presents the regional premiere of George & Ira Gershwin's Nice Work If You Can Get It, running September 7th – October 9th at MusicalFare Theatre.  

Intelligent, engaging and well cast theatre has returned to the former Studio Arena theatre with MusicalFare's fine production of FUN HOME. The space may now be called by a different name, Shea's 710 Theatre, but those floor boards have been tread by ingenious predecessors who forged new works worthy of discussion and revelations in the 1960's and 70's. FUN HOME fits perfectly into the space physically and dramatically, challenging the audience with concepts of fidelity, sexuality and escapism.

Everything old is new again. But who would think the new century would have 19th Century literature resurfacing in the form of theatrical plays. This season Buffalo has seen Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' characters in the new play MISS BENNETT: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY at Shea's 710 Theatre. But a good story is a good story. So in re-examining the age old hunt for an eligible bachelor we now bring to the stage Austen's SENSE & SENSIBILITY, that notable work that explores the issues of class, courting, and attaining the perfect husband. With some updating of the era and costumes, this timeless tale could allow Austen's often melodramatic story to play out as a 2019 romantic comedy feature film.

A new entity has formed where the name of the game is collaboration and pooling talents to serve the greater good. Buffalo's All For One Theatrical Productions mounted their inaugural play last weekend with THE THREE MUSKETEERS. Obviously their company's name had a great deal to do with the chosen first venture, but more about that later.

As Second Generation Theatre prepares for their return to full productions at the Shea's Smith Theatre for the 2018-2019 season, they invite you to join them to commemorate the company's first five seasons. Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) will close its 2016-2017 season with a WNY-premiere of The Country House by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies.  Mr. Margulies is the company's 2017 American Theatre Master and will make a visit to the Road Less Traveled Theater Saturday May 6 for a public Q&A session moderated by RLTP Literary Director, Jon Elston.
