Australian Musical Theatre Festival Artistic Director Tyran Parke has announced the line-up for the fourth Australian Musical Theatre Festival that he has curated.  The 2023 Festival will be held in various locations around Launceston from 17 – 21 May.

Salty Theatre will present an absolutely spectacular lineup of musical theatre and cabaret veterans and stars in the making as they welcome you to Salt Actually: A Fundraiser Concert for Salty Theatre.

​​​​​​​ The producers of the upcoming major new musical, MIDNIGHT, will be conducting an open casting call to find three performers to play the pivotal role of Stella.

Get ready to warm up this June with a sizzling program of the best and boldest performers announced today, curated by international star and Australian icon Tina Arena AM.

Originally premiering on Broadway in 2009, Next to Normal was nominated for 11 Tony Awards of which it won three, including for Best Original Score. It was also awarded the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, an award that only ten musicals have received in the 105-year history of The Pulitzer Prizes.

Presented just days after Melbourne’s latest lockdown lifted, Queenie van de Zandt’s CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE – ONLINE EDITION was the perfect night in for people wanting to reconnect with live performance but still a little hesitant to venture outside. 

Previously announced, this production will star Queenie van de Zandt in the leading role of Diana Goodman, the matriarch of a modern-day family, traumatised by loss and the unpredictable affects sparked by her bipolar diagnosis.

After an extensive audition process of over 250 performers, James Terry Collective has announced the full cast of Next to Normal. Previously announced, this electric production will star Queenie van de Zandt in the leading role of Diana Goodman. Returning to the stage is Tyran Parke as Dan Goodman.

Joining the line-up of CABARET AT THE BALLROOM kicking off in June, is Queenie Van de Zandt in BLUE: The Songs of Joni Mitchell and in July, Ash Flanders is Nothing and Lucy Maunder sings Irving Berlin: Songs in the Key of Black.

James Terry Collective has announced it will be bringing the Tony Award winning musical, Next to Normal, to Chapel Off Chapel for a limited season this July.

The Creating Cabaret Course is a unique online course, that runs for 2 ½ hours every Tuesday night, for 12-weeks from the April 20th to July 6th, which will teach you how to write, produce and perform your own cabaret show.
