If you're in need of a brief sojourn away from London this Christmas period, then I've little hesitation in recommending the Mill at Sonning's Singin' in the Rain. With a fine cast, you'll be hard pressed to find a more impressive show in London than this production.

Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol places Ebenezer Scrooge centre-stage, shoving all its female characters to the side in an attempt to paint a deeply unfair and harrowing picture of London's Victorian society. Renowned songwriter and Walkmen co-founder Walter Martin will release his new album The World At Night on January 31st via Ile Flottante Music. Produced by multi-instrumentalist Josh Kaufman (The National, Hiss Golden Messenger, The War On Drugs), the album is Martin's most richly orchestrated and grandly cinematic collection to date, as well as his most poignant. Today he shared two new songs from The World At Night: 'The Soldier,' a vivid character portrait sung from the perspective of his 96-year-old grandfather-in-law, and 'That's All I Need,' a burst of humor and celebration about familial love.

The game changing Scottish dance event Terminal V has announced plans for its biggest ever event on Saturday April 11th 2020 in Edinburgh. It seems that the best things really do happen while you're dancing, or at least they do in the touring production of WHITE CHRISTMAS that's currently at DPAC. The musical is at its very best during its high-energy dance numbers. The show is based on the 1954 holiday classic film starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen. With music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, the show is a fun Christmas-themed romp with plenty of 1950s nostalgia, beautiful costumes, and great tap dancing. 

FIGARO'S WEDDING, first staged by Against the Grain in 2013, is a perfect example of how a good story and timeless music can transcend hundreds of years and switch languages, and still be rapturously funny. Featuring an English libretto by director Joel Ivany, the production still utilizes Mozart's original score from a?oeLe Nozze Di Figaroa?? to great effect via a thematically-appropriate quartet of strings and piano (music direction by Rachael Kerr).

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. While many attribute the song to the 1963 Broadway musical Here's Love, it was actually written simply as a Christmas song and singers have been crooning the tune ever since.

A brand new dance music experience will make its way to Romania this summer, as SAGA prepares to launch in Bucharest. Taking place between 5-7 June, the innovative festival is the brainchild of both ALDA & Insomniac, who partnered last year, and will follow in the footsteps of both brand's previous successes, such as the iconic AMF in Amsterdam and the world's largest dance music festival, EDC in Las Vegas. Marking a new beginning for the Eastern European festival scene, SAGA represents a landmark moment for the people of Bucharest, serving as the city's first-ever major music festival of such impressive scale.
