Playwrights Guild Of Canada to Host Seven Hour Play Reading Relay

On World Theatre Day, March 27th, Playwrights Guild of Canada (PGC) will engage twenty-eight playwrights to present 28 ten-minute play readings from 11am to 6pm EST. Today, PGC reached out to its 850+ members, providing reading slots on a first come, first served basis. It filled up in eight minutes!

Pear Theatre Announces 2020-21 Season

Pear Theatre announces its 19th season, full of reimagined classics and intriguing new works. All performances are held at the Pear Theatre's performance space at 1110 La Avenida St., Mountain View. Each show offers a preview performance on the first Thursday, followed by Press/Opening Night on Friday. TAKING STEPS Comes to Pear in January 2020

Pear Theatre kicks off the New Year with Alan Ayckbourn's hilarious farce, Taking Steps (directed by Troy Johnson). Taking Steps previews on Thursday, January 16, with press and Opening Night on Friday, January 17, followed by a champagne gala. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays through February 9. Nightwood Theatre Announces The Winner Of The Strombergs Family Realization Fund

Nightwood Theatre announces the winner of the inaugural Strombergs Family Realization Fund: Dian Marie Bridge. This $10,000 cash award, established by theatre director Vinetta Strombergs in honour of her artist parents, is intended to support a woman who has spent at least 20 years in the profession of theatre in any discipline and is now looking for a way to finance a project of passion that includes aspects of theatre, music, and movement.

LENIN'S EMBALMERS Opens At Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater

2019 Mallory Gilbert Leadership Award Recipient Is Announced

Ergo Pink Fest is a 4-day theatre festival in Toronto (March 28-31, 2019), conceived and hosted by Ergo Arts Theatre (EAT) that gives voice to female and non-binary identified playwrights, providing them a unique platform to develop and showcase their work.
