Due to public demand, INALA, the Grammy-nominated Zulu dance musical which opened at a new purpose-built venue, House of Sisters Grimm on 28 November 2025, has announced a second booking extension.

Due to public demand, INALA, the Grammy-nominated Zulu dance musical which opened at House of Sisters Grimm on 28 November this year, extends its run to 4 April 2026 and its performance schedule to six performances a week.

Against this backdrop, the launch of HOUSE OF SISTERS GRIMM in London’s West End on Friday 28 November is the natural next chapter: a purpose-built, permanent red-carpet cultural destination uniting the company’s three pillars under one roof.

London’s award-winning creative company, Sisters Grimm, have announcd the South African premiere of the Grammy-nominated, smash hit musical INALA.

Over 200 guests walked into the Weill Terrace Room at Carnegie Hall in New York City to experience Ella Spira’s Global Landscapes Retrospective on March 28th and 29th. See photos from inside the event.

The New Year’s Honours List has been published, and several members of the theatrical community were named this year. 

Pietra Mello-Pittman and Ella Spira, founders of the dance/theatre production company Sisters Grimm, have been awarded MBEs for services to International Trade and the Creative Industry in the 2021 New Year Honours lists.  Pietra and Ella are honoured among an incredible list of recipients.

INALA, the critically acclaimed South African Dance-Musical sensation, will celebrate World Ballet Day on Wednesday 23 October with a concert spectacular at the Royal Albert Hall, bringing together the South African choral legends, Soweto Gospel Choir with multi-award-winning choreographer Mark Baldwin OBE in this unique artistic collaboration. A celebration of South Africa today, INALA delivers all it promises; an uplifting cultural experience, powered by an explosion of live music, song and dance.

Full casting is announced for the West End Premiere of INALA - A Zulu Ballet - at the Peacock Theatre in London, from 30 April to 18 May 2019.

Following a sell-out run at London's Sadler's Wells and a phenomenal 2015 tour, INALA will return to the UK in 2019, bringing together the two-time Grammy Award-winning South African choral legends, Soweto Gospel Choir with multi-award-winning choreographer Mark Baldwin (OBE) in this unique artistic collaboration. INALA will receive its West End premiere at The Peacock in London playing from 29 April to 18 May, with a press night on Wednesday 1 May. 2019 tour dates will be announced shortly.

The new dance/music show Voices of the Amazon will receive its UK premiere at Sadler's Wells in London from 4 to 8 July. Voices of the Amazon is set in the Amazon Rainforest and the international cast includes six performers from Brazil who have never before been to Europe let alone performed at one of the most prestigious dance houses in the UK! It has been created by Grammy-nominated Ella Spira and former Royal Ballet dancer Pietra Mello-Pittman, with narration recorded by Jeremy Irons.

The UK premiere of Voices of the Amazon is currently in rehearsals at Studio Wayne McGregor at Here East. The show is narrated by Emmy, Golden Globe and Tony Award-winning Jeremy Irons and has an international cast including six performers from Brazil, the USA and Greece. Sisters Grimm are delighted that Nathalie Harrison, First Artist at The Royal Ballet will join the cast of VOICES OF THE AMAZON, with kind permission from Kevin O'Hare, Artistic Director of The Royal Ballet.

Sisters Grimm, a company founded by composer Ella Spira and choreographer Pietra Mello-Pittman, is following up hit show INALA with new dance musical Voices of the Amazon. Fusing ballet, contemporary and capoeira with a Brazilian score and narration by Jeremy Irons, it premieres this July at Sadler's Wells.

The new dance/music show Voices of the Amazon, which will receive its UK premiere at Sadler's Wells in London from 4 to 8 July, is having a dress rehearsal at Stratford Circus Arts Centre this Friday 2 June and, ahead of this, they are going to run four of five scenes for us from3.30pm to 4.30pm. Casting is to be announced.

Following a phenomenal 2014 tour and sell-out runs at both the Edinburgh International Festival and London's Sadler's Wells, INALA brings together four time Grammy Award-winning South African choral legends, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and multi-award winning chorographer Mark Baldwin, in this unique artistic collaboration for a creatively reworked production that starts a UK tour from June 2015.
