Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International has announced the acquisition of DreamWorks Theatricals' The Prince of Egypt.

The West End sensation, The Prince of Egypt: The Musical, will be released on digital platforms from December 4. Following a release on BroadwayHD on November 15, the production will be available on YouTube, Xfinity, Prime Video, Apple TV, and more.

City Lit Producer and Artistic Director Terry McCabe announced that the theatre’s 2023-2024 season—its forty-third—will be his last on its staff. 

City Lit has announced the full cast and creative/production team for the closing production of the company’s 42nd season, the musical AZTEC HUMAN SACRIFICE, with music and lyrics by Kingsley Day and book by Philip LaZebnik and Kingsley Day.

City Lit Theater announced its lineup for the 2022-23 season. The season will begin in October with the world premiere of THE MARK OF KANE, by Mark Pracht, and conclude in late spring with the world premiere of Kingsley Day and Philip LaZebnik’s musical AZTEC HUMAN SACRIFICE.

The Prince of Egypt has this week been filmed live at London's Dominion Theatre by Universal Pictures Content Group. Plans for its broadcast will be released at a later date. The live capture of Scott Schwartz's production is directed by Brett Sullivan and produced by Dione Orrom.

The video features cast members Liam Tamne, Adam Pearce, Soophia Foroughi, Natalie Green, Jessica Lee and Christopher Short with the team from The Show Shanties who delighted musical theatre fans by producing video collaborations with musicals such as Hamilton over lockdown!

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT, based on the classic DreamWorks Animation film, will play its final performance at London’s Dominion Theatre on Saturday 8 January 2022, the end of its booking period. Extra shows have been added on 20, 21 and 28 December 2021 at 2.30pm.

The Prince of Egypt has once again been forced to cancel upcoming performances due to Government-enforced COVID-19 legislation. Performances through 7 August have been cancelled at this time.

Following the current temporary suspension of performances due to Government Track and Trace legislation, the production will play three socially distanced performances on Wednesday 21 July at 7.30pm and Thursday 22 July at 2.30pm and 7.30pm before gradually reverting to full capacity.

Ticket buyers will be contacted by their point of purchase via email, and will be offered the option to exchange their tickets or receive a refund or credit voucher. Learn more here!

City Lit Theater has re-announced programming for its 41st year of production, according to Producer and Artistic Director Terry McCabe. The 2021-22 subscription season will open with a world premiere adaptation – THE VIRGINIAN: A HORSEMAN OF THE PLAINS.

The Prince of Egypt, the hit musical based on the classic DreamWorks Animation film, has announced the complete cast, orchestra and company of 154 who will lead the musical back into London's Dominion Theatre in 16 days, in accordance with UK Government Step 3 protocols (socially distanced audiences), as previously announced.  

This July, Olivier Award-winning actor Clive Rowe will join the West End cast of The Prince of Egypt.

The West End production of THE PRINCE OF EGYPT has reopened ticket booking from 2 November 2020 to 4 September 2021. Audience members can now book tickets for the Stephen Schwartz musical - a stage adaptation of the Dreamworks animated film - during that period at London's Dominion Theatre.
