Ring of Keys, the only national network of queer women, trans, and gender non-conforming professional artists working on and offstage in musical theatre, has announced the performer lineup for Queering the Canon.
Dallas Theater Center presents an adaptation of the timeless literary classic, Little Women, at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. A fresh spin on the familiar tale, Little Women begins with a Pay What You Can performance on Feb. 7 and continues through March 1. People's Light kicks off its 2018/2019 Season with Such Things as Vampires, a highly theatrical folk-punk twist on the Dracula tale. Infused with lilting ballads, rock anthems, and melodious love songs, this concert-theatre event is an irreverent, bloody, and wickedly fun retelling of Bram Stoker's 1897 gothic masterpiece. Such Things as Vampires runs September 20 - October 31 on the Steinbright Stage in Malvern. Tickets range from $30-$50.
Mackenzie Shivers, known for her whimsical compositions paired with raw emotion and nostalgic ambience, announces a four part collaborative residency at Rockwood Music Hall this summer and fall. Paired with Shivers' musical muses and friends, the residency, spanning from July through October, will welcome Broadway singer and songwriter Pearl Rhein, July 31, Canadian bassist and composer Marika Galea, August 28, frequent collaborator and indie-rocker Lance Breakfast, September 25, and steelpan player and vocalist Nikkiesha McLeod, October 30.

This 5-time Lucille Lortel award nominated new musical by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher (Hundred Days) was commissioned and developed by Ars Nova.
