The Old Globe presents West Coast premiere of Little Women by Kate Hamill. This brand-new version of Louisa May Alcott's classic novel about Jo March and her three unforgettably distinct sisters is presented in association with Dallas Theater Center and is directed by Sarah Rasmussen (Artistic Director of Jungle Theater, which originally commissioned the play).

Many American theater-goers have either read Little Women in High School, or seen the play, musical, or recent star-studded film.  When staging this show, the challenge therefore becomes- how do you keep it fresh and original?  Luckily for us, Dallas Theater Center has never had a problem with a lack of creativity, and they didn't start with this production of Little Women! 

Joe's Pub has released its schedule for Feb 12-22! Brown Girls Burlesque: Love Got Game - Valentine's Edition (Feb. 12), Isaac Oliver Is Your Valentine (Feb. 13), and Lea DeLaria: f**k Love and more will take to the stage!

Ring of Keys, the only national network of queer women, trans, and gender non-conforming professional artists working on and offstage in musical theatre, has announced the performer lineup for Queering the Canon.

Dallas Theater Center presents an adaptation of the timeless literary classic, Little Women, at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. A fresh spin on the familiar tale, Little Women begins with a Pay What You Can performance on Feb. 7 and continues through March 1. Red Bull Theater today announced the cast for the one-night-only, all-star benefit concert performance of the Olivier Award-winning Best Musical Return to the Forbidden Planet, a musical of Shakespearean proportions by Bob Carlton. The 2019-'20 Season kick-off event will take place Monday October 21st at the Peter Norton Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street)

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) just presented Intersecting Chords, the annual NYMF concert that celebrates female, trans, and non-binary songwriters who are changing the landscape of musical theatre. The award-winning music education and entertainment company, FunikiJam will present its original family musical, MUSIC GARDEN: Spring Celebration! starting April 14th at Actors Temple Theatre with special performances for Earth Day, Cinco de Mayo and Mother's Day. The 2019 production, as part of FunikiJam's 12 week city-wide 'Music Garden' program of classes & events geared for young children and families, explores music and culture of Europe, South America, and Nashville with a special focus on Spanish language.

The World Premiere of the new off-Broadway play Eco Village by Phoebe Nir, will include a Post-Show Talkback moderated by Justice Nnnanna featuring farmers Nailah Marie, Amber Tamm Canty and Myriah Towner, with special invited audiences from Striver's Row and The Creative Collective, as well as an Afro Flow Yoga-Session led by Pilin Anice following the 4pm performance of Eco Village on Sunday, February 10, 2019.
