The Music Center Announces Additional Tickets For Alonzo King LINES Ballet

In celebrating the reopening of Los Angeles and the easing of public health restrictions, The Music Center has expanded the footprint for its outdoor performance series called Dance at Dusk, part of Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center, doubling the current seating capacity for guests on its Jerry Moss Plaza.

The Music Center Welcomes Paul Taylor Dance Company

The Music Center's presentation of Paul Taylor Dance Company will offer audiences a host of experiences in which they can engage with the world-renowned modern dance company. Five in-person performances (June 16–20, 2021), part of the return of live experiences at The Music Center, will feature the West Coast premiere of Abraham's critically-acclaimed 2019 work, Only the Lonely, set to the music of Shirley Horn, and the beloved and iconic Taylor work, Promethean Fire created in 2002 after 9/11, which suggests that even after cataclysmic events, the human spirit finds renewal and emerges triumphant.

American Ballet Theatre Spring Festival Announced - Misty Copeland to Host

American Ballet Theatre Studio Company Spring Festival, a two-night virtual showcase of filmed performances by 15 dancers of ABT Studio Company, will take place on Wednesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 3 at 7pm ET, streaming for free on ABT’s YouTube channel. The evenings will be hosted by Misty Copeland.

Gibney Company 30th Anniversary Virtual Gala Debuts New Work by Rena Butler

Gibney Company will honor the 30th anniversary of its founding with “An Evening with Gibney Company,” a free, virtual gala on June 30, 2021, from 7:30-8:00 p.m. on Gibney’s YouTube channel. The centerpiece of the evening will be the world premiere of a dance film by newly appointed Choreographic Associate Rena Butler.
