The cast of Let It Be took a break from rehearsals in London this morning (Wednesday 8 August) to become Day Trippers on a Magical Mystery Tour to recreate one of The Beatles' most iconic images.

CBS will present CARPOOL KARAOKE: WHEN CORDEN MET MCCARTNEY LIVE FROM LIVERPOOL on Monday, August 20 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). The primetime special will feature never-before-seen footage from the wildly popular "Paul McCartney Carpool Karaoke" segment which aired on THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN on June 21, during the week of shows from Central Hall Westminster in London. During the "Carpool Karaoke" segment, Corden and McCartney drove around Liverpool, visited McCartney's childhood home and several of the places referenced in the song "Penny Lane," and surprised locals with an intimate performance at a pub.

The Park Theatre's River Street Theatre (RST) will be presenting the newly restored classic 1968 animated feature, the Beatles' Yellow Submarine, this Saturday, August 11. In recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the film, the Beatles had sing-a-long titles added to the film, and the RST will be screening that version.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present the return of Reeve Carney on Wednesday, September 12 at 9:30 PM before he heads to London to star in the acclaimed Broadway-bound musical Hadestown at the National Theatre. Reeve is best known for his portrayal of Dorian Gray in Showtime's 'Penny Dreadful,' Riff Raff in Fox TV's Rocky Horror Picture Show reimagining, as well as originating the role of Peter Parker in Julie Taymor and U2's Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark. Featuring selections from his five-time Independent Music Award-winning album, Youth Is Wasted, as well a few surprises from the Broadway canon and the Great American Songbook, Reeve delivers a one-man-show that feels more like an invitation only after-party than traditional concert performance. 

You oughta know that Broadway Sings Alanis has just added more stars to its lineup! Diana Degarmo (Hair), Alysha Deslorieux (Hamilton), Derek Klena (Anastasia), and Wesley Taylor (SpongeBob SquarePants) will join the lineup for the next installment of the acclaimed Broadway Sings concert series, Broadway Sings Alanis Morissette. Cast members from Broadway shows including Pretty Woman, Dear Evan Hansen, Once on this Island, and Waitress will sing completely new arrangements of the hits of the pop superstar, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations of her music.

The countdown is on until Let It Be opens in Cardiff in three weeks, when fans will be able to see the new show in the UK and Ireland for the very first time.

Attitudes, one of the most feel-good rock bands growing out of Los Angeles in the 1970s, will make waves yet again, this time in the world of streaming with a Best ofalbum to be released as a digital reissue out on August 10 from Dark Horse Records. Master Drummer Denny Seiwell, best known as a founding member/drummer of Paul McCartney's post Beatles group Wings. Originally a jazz artist, Seiwell was recruited by Paul McCartney to join Wings. His drumming can be heard on the original recording of 'Live And Let Die,' also the theme song for the 1973 epic James Bond film. His credits include the 'RAM,' 'Wildlife' and 'Red Rose Speedway' albums, which also featured the hit 'My Love.'

Returning for its fourth year, Emerging Music Festival (EMF) features ten on-the-rise indie rock, pop, blues, and soul bands performing for thousands on the Bryant Park lawn. Almost all artists hail from the greater New York area, making EMF one of the city's largest celebrations of young local bands. Between sets, attendees can purchase beer and wine, eat food from local vendors curated by Hester Street Fair, borrow a free picnic blanket, learn to juggle, and play giant lawn games.

Paul McCartney received the 2018 Helpmann Award for 'Best International Contemporary Concert' for his One On One World Tour that arrived in Australia in December 2017.

The 2018 Helpmann Awards Act II tonight was a star-studded ceremony in front of a full house at the Capitol Theatre Sydney on the set of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical. World-renowned jazz guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli will perform at the Otesaga Resort Hotel ballroom on Sunday, August 5 at 7:30pm as part of the 20th anniversary season of the Cooperstown Summer Music Festival.

The founder of the original Commodores is back and he's returning with his signature sound intact with a new high energy show called Thomas McClary's The Commodores Experience.

Brooklyn-based musician John Brodeur is the New York songwriter and musician behind Bird Streets.  He will be live for an album release party at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2 in Manhattan with Jaime Alegre (The Dig, Rathborne) on drums, and Scott Chasolen (The Machine) on keys on Thursday, August 9.
