Today, the Orpheum Theatre Group announced the lineup for the 2018-2019 On Stage at the Halloran Centre series. In addition to the 13-part music Series and 3-part theatre Series, the On Stage season will introduce Kafe Kirk: a special concert series created by Grammy Award-winning saxophonist and Memphis native, Kirk Whalum. Folk Singer-Songwriter Chantitown Shares New Single “Cause And The Cure”

British singer-songwriter and producer Chantitown shares 'Cause and the Cure', the first single to be taken from her upcoming debut EP of the same title, released independently on the 13th July. The EP was co-produced and co-composed with Jim Huswuit (Universal Music, National Theatre, Almeida Theatre) who also holds credit as People's Music Award Film and Music Composer. 'Cause and the Cure' was mixed and mastered by reputable engineer Chris Coulter, who has worked with well-respected artists such as Dan Austin (Ocean Size, Pixies), Scott Harding (Wu Tang Clan, New Kingdom), Pip Williams (Status Quo), Rupert Christie (U2 / Green Day) and more. The single also includes notable percussionist Paul Clarvis who has worked with musical greats such as Mick Jagger, Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder and Sir Paul McCartney, to name but a few.

Boca Abajo Releases New Single Titled RECAIDA Out Now

Austin's Latin Rock Pioneers have released their newest single titled, Recaida. This new single embodies Boca Abajo's signature Roots Rock Sound mixed with true Latin Rock Beats. 'This song is a culmination of several different styles that we grew up listening to. It feels like home and to be able to put this all together in one song is extraordinary.' - Patrick Salinas (lead vocalist) Recaída was recorded and mixed in the 'Live Music Capital of the World' by engineer and musician Gildardo Gonzalez, former bass player of Mexican rock mega group Genitallica. The final master was engineered by Charlie Kransky who spent time engineering at Avatar Studios in New York. He has worked with artists such as Paul McCartney, Tony Bennett, Elvis Costello, Lenny Kravitz and now Boca Abajo. Recaída is Boca Abajo's first 2018 release and is adding another step in to what has been a great musical journey for this Austin based band. Their unique sound of Latin beat mixed with their Roots Rock sound has proven to be a hit in this new single titled 'Recaída.' General on sale begins Wednesday, May 30 at Noon for award-winning actor and piano virtuoso Hershey Felder in his wildly acclaimed one-man show, HERSHEY FELDER AS IRVING BERLIN at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director). The production, featuring music and lyrics by the great American songwriter Irving Berlin, book by Hershey Felder and directed by longtime Felder collaborator Trevor Hay, will play from August 24 through October 28, 2018, with opening night scheduled for Wednesday, September 5.
