Despite being one of the most respected performers on Broadway, Canaan also has a passion for bringing his experiences to young theatre lovers around the country. Having taught with Kid's Night on Broadway, Camp Broadway, Broadway Dreams, and the Jimmy Awards (a.k.a. The National High School Musical Theatre Awards), Canaan is coming back to Orlando's Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts with his organization Take it from the Top for a one-day masterclass, this Saturday, October 10th from 9:00am-4:00pm.

The Tony Award-winning musical KINKY BOOTS will celebrate its landmark 1,000th performance on Broadway tonight, August 26th, with a ticket giveaway and 'fabulous footwear' contest for fans.

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots will celebrate its landmark 1000th performance on Broadway on Wednesday, August 26th with a ticket giveaway and "fabulous footwear" contest for fans.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Emmy Award-winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady will take over the coveted role of 'Lola' in the Tony Award®-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on November 21, 2015. Brady will succeed Broadway's original (and current) award-winning 'Lola,' Billy Porter. Porter has played over 800 performances in the role and won both a Tony Award and a Grammy Award for his work in the production. His final historic performance in Kinky Boots will be November 20, 2015.

Later this week, 106.7 LITE FM will continue its 15th annual lunchtime theatre summer series, '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park.' The 2015 program will present the best of Broadway, FREE to the public, on six consecutive Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on the Bryant Park Stage. This Thursday's line-up will include performances from the casts of SAYONARA (Jennifer Piacenti, Morgan McCann, Edward Tolve, Ya Han Chang),  The Phantom of the Opera, Kinky Boots (Jake Odmark, Haven Burton, Nick Rashad Burroughs, Paul Canaan, Sean Patrick Doyle, Robert Pendilla), and BEAUTIFUL (Chilina Kennedy, E. Clayton Cornelious, Alan Wiggins, Douglas Lyons, Melvin Tunstall).

Those signature, red high heels are headed down under! BroadwayWorld has learned that the Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots will make its Australian premiere at Her Majesty's Theatre, Melbourne, from October 2016.

On Monday, May 11, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present Apollo Link, Broadway's premier vocal trio. After half-a-million YouTube hits, the trio brought original arrangements, impeccable harmonies and powerful vocals to the historic music room.  The trio performed fan favorites like "Chandelier," "Latch', 'Shake It Off," 'At Last," "Jealous," and many more. Dr. Phillips Center Florida Hospital School of Arts & Wellness summer camp Take it From the Top will feature a workshop and a performance from Tony Nominee Laura Bell Bundy. Bundy is best known for her leading roles on Broadway in Wicked, Hairspray and Legally Blonde. Rachel Hoffman, CSA of award-winning casting office Telsey + Company will also participate as a teacher. Space is still available for this summer camp, along with the other summer camps and workshops at the School of Arts & Wellness. Students may register by visiting drphillipscenter.org.
