Shear Madness, the Guinness World Record holder for longest-running play in America, is back at the Kennedy Center. Get ready for a night of laughter and suspense as you help solve the mystery.

Actors Theatre welcomes back the award-winning ensemble UNIVERSES (Ameriville, Slanguage, Rhythmicity) for a kinetic mix of poetry, jazz, blues, hip-hop, boleros, salsa, and storytelling. Party People is a dynamic performance that illuminates the complex legacy of these revolutionary movements, and the potential for cross-cultural coalitions to bring power to the people. Performances are in the Pamela Brown Auditorium April 5-16, 2023.

 Florida Repertory Theatre's 25th anniversary season continues with “On Golden Pond,” the modern American classic by Ernest Thompson. The production runs in the Historic Arcade Theatre from February 17 – March 5, with discounted previews from February 14 - 17.

But 'Shear Madness,' the madcap murder mystery comedy that lets its audience vote each night on the identity of the perpetrator, owes a lot of its popularity to the show's willingness to update itself on essentially a daily basis, so that the jokes and setting feel as fresh and exhilarating as possible. After all, the show started nearly 40 years ago in Boston, where you can still find it running at the venerable Charles Playhouse today.

Shear Madness, one of the most popular comedy productions in the world, is opening in Ivoryton on September 18, 2019. This iconic production was first produced in Boston in 1980 and has been delighting audiences ever since with its unique blend of madcap improvisation and spine-tickling mystery.

Geva Theatre Center presents the world premiere of Hard Cell, by Brent Askari and directed by Skip Greer, in the Elaine P. Wilson Stage from January 8 through February 3.

PERFECT CRIME, the Off-Broadway 'whodunit' that just recently celebrated 31 years and 13,000 performances has announced that Dan Sharkey has joined the cast, as Lional, replacing Patrick Noonan in the role. The smart, funny and fast-paced thriller at the Anne L. Emmy Nominated actor Grant Aleksander, best known for his role as Philip Spaulding on Guilding Light is replacing two other daytime drama legends Robert Newman (Guiding Light) and Richard Shoberg (All My Children), in Off Broadway's longest running play, Perfect Crime. Mr. Aleksander is returning to the role of Detective Asher (a role he took on this Spring) and begins performances tonight. 

Steve Blanchard, well known as Broadway's longest running Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast has joined the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME. Mr. Blanchard is already playing Detective Ascher, replacing Richard Shoberg in the role.

Robert Newman, best known for his 28 year run as Joshua Lewis on the longest running program in broadcasting history, Guiding Light, and more recently on the hit Showtime series Homeland and this upcoming season of the hit Netflix series House of Cards, will be joining the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME, replacing Richard Shoberg on Monday, February 20th, in the role of Inspector James Ascher at the Anne L. Bernstein Theater.
