The Arvada Center Artistic Producer and show Director, Rod A. Lansberry has announced the cast for The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. The show marks Lansberry's directing debut in the Center's Black Box Theater. The Importance of Being Earnest will run January 24 - February 19, 2012. Theresa Rebeck provides plenty of mindless fun for the aggressively hip in Seminar, a breezy and enjoyable new comedy that will especially appeal to those who love showing off their urban cultural elitism by laughing very loudly at derogatory references to short stories published in The New Yorker and howling with yuks when a pseudo-intellectual mispronounces Inigo Jones' name while passionately giving a vapid description of the Yaddo artists' colony.

Conceived by Brian Shnipper and directed by Stuart Ross, Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays began as a series of benefit events in Los Angeles, taking on a life of their own as an inspiring theatrical evening. The New York cast features Craig Bierko, Mark Consuelos, Polly Draper, Harriet Harris, Beth Leavel and Richard Thomas. Hennepin Theatre Trust and producers Joan Stein and Richard Frankel announced today that the new theatrical event Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays will run for one night only at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 at Hennepin Theatre Trust's New Century Theatre with Wendy Knox of Frank Theatre directing a cast of six.
