Edward Scissorhands: Matthew Bourne’s dance version of Tim Burton’s classic, has been filmed for the big screen and will be released in cinemas across the UK and internationally for the first time from Wednesday 25th September 2024. 

The full cast has been announced for Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake, as it returns for its 30th anniversary with a 2024-25 UK tour.

Casting is set for Matthew Bourne's a?oeSwan Lakea?? from New Adventures, which will be presented by Center Theatre Group at the Ahmanson Theatre December 3, 2019 through January 5, 2020. With direction and choreography by Matthew Bourne and music by Tchaikovsky, a?oeSwan Lakea?? will open on December 5 at 8 p.m.

When Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake received its world premiere in 1995, it ripped up the rulebook in terms of traditional dance and storytelling. It won over 30 awards internationally, including three Tonys and an Olivier Award, and paved the way for new generations of young male dancers. Returning in 2018 with a reimagining for the 21st century, this new production proves its legacy is as captivating, powerful and imaginative as it ever was.

Theatre with lasting cultural impact is not something that's created often. Especially not modern ballet. Yet Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake has that impact, and deservingly so.
