Deadline reports that 1997 action thriller 'Face/Off' will be rebooted at Paramount Pictures. The original film was directed by John Woo and starred John Travolta and Nicolas Cage.

The Toronto International Film Festival​®​ has announced the 10 eclectic films that will make up this year's Midnight Madness lineup. This year's programme ushers in a new generation of formidable genre filmmakers amidst veteran Midnight mavericks, who collectively push the envelope with both experimental and quintessential genre thrills that are guaranteed to keep the loyal late-night audience rapt and wired.

Ben Clark is still a largely unknown composer, unless you've heard his unforgettable music. A new voice in American musical theatre, for the past decade Clark has contributed music and lyrics for three musicals: The Circus in Winter, Skin and Bones, and the very recent Bruno and the Gospel of Infinity. Composing on guitar, drawing influence from artists like Jeff Buckley, Dave Matthews, and Martin Sexton, Clark's writing style is a story-driven blend of folk, Americana, and rock. A new voice with traditional roots needs a venue to match, and there is no better place to make his New York City debut than The Green Room 42.

Tennessee William's The Night of the Iguana plays a strictly limited season at the Noel Coward Theatre. The cast is led by Golden Globe-winner Clive Owen (Closer, Children of Men) who returns to the West End as Rev. T. Lawrence Shannon for the first time in 18 years; Lia Williams (The Crown, Mary Stuart) as Hannah Jelkes; two-time Emmy Award-winner Anna Gunn (Deadwood, Breaking Bad) in her West End debut as Maxine Faulk and Julian Glover (Game of Thrones) as Nonno. "Cage in the Park," a one-time theatrical outdoor comedy event, is set to premiere on July 14th, 2019. Folsom Lake College welcomes actor, producer and humanitarian Danny Glover to the Harris Center in a lecture moderated by KFBK's Kitty O'Neal. A commanding presence on screen, stage, and television for more than 25 years, Danny Glover's film credits range from the blockbuster Lethal Weapon franchise to the Oscar-nominated hit Dreamgirls, to smaller independent features — some of which Glover also produced. The son of civil rights activists, he has gained respect and renown for his wide-reaching community activism and philanthropic efforts, and currently serves as an Ambassador for UNICEF.

Pigeon keepers are an interesting and unique, albeit diminishing, subset of humans, and within that group is a subset, presumably small, of people who identify with the birds. Taking it one step further, Birdy, the protagonist in Naomi Wallace's adaptation of William Wharton's novel BIRDY, identifies, not with, but as a bird. Strange as it sounds, it may be the most sane response to an insane world in this drama that toggles back and forth between a pre-World War II Philadelphia suburb and an Army hospital in post-war Kentucky. It is a war story that plays out on the battlefield of an intense, intimate friendship, where the psychological wounds are more damaging and enduring than the physical ones. Steve Maler's skillful direction unleashes a dazzling palette of colorful performances, each actor contributing a broad brush stroke to the communal masterpiece.

Frontier Comedy is thrilled to announce the debut Australian tour for Saturday Night Livealumni, stand-up comedian, actor, rapper and impressionist Jay Pharoah. Pharoah will perform two shows at Sydney's Factory Theatre on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 May  as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival, followed by two shows at Melbourne's only dedicated comedy venue The Comic's Lounge on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May.

SpectreVision, the boutique genre division of Company X, and ACE Pictures announced today that principal photography will begin next month on COLOR OUT OF SPACE. Starring Nicolas Cage, the film will be directed by Richard Stanley -- his first feature in over twenty years.  Based on the novella by H.P. Lovecraft, COLOR OUT OF SPACE will reunite Cage with SpectreVision, the company behind the critically acclaimed and commercially successful 2018 film MANDY. The film will also star Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck, RED SPARROW), Tommy Chong (UP IN SMOKE), Elliot Knight (DC's Titans), Julian Hilliard (The Haunting of Hill House) and Q'Orianka Kilcher (The Alienist, DORA THE EXPLORER).

XYZ Films and CAA Media Finance announce Academy Award® nominee Toni Collette has joined Anna Kendrick in the cast of the sci-fi thriller STOWAWAY, which marks the second feature film from Joe Penna and Ryan Morrison, the duo behind the Cannes Official Selection Arctic. The film now boasts two Academy Award® nominated actresses in lead roles, with additional casting currently underway.

Sony Music proudly announces the release of SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) featuring original music by multiple Golden Globe nominee Daniel Pemberton.
