The Second City has announced that its first-ever physical location in New York City will open in Summer 2023.

Audible Inc. has announced a new slate of original comedy podcasts with longtime collaborators, Broadway Video Enterprises. In addition to new originals, Audible greenlit the second season of the hit Audible Original, Hot White Heist.

This production is based on the book by Chery Strayed and adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos. The original production at the famous Public Theatre in New York was co-conceived by Marshall Heyman, Thomas Kail, and Nia Vardalos.

From Mae West to Cheryl Strayed, the Provincetown Theater has announced that five very distinguished and distinctive American playwriting voices will headline the company's 2022 season in Provincetown, MA, the birthplace of American Theater.

The University of Adelaide's Little Theatre will stage the Australian premiere of Tiny Beautiful Things by Nia Vardalos. Based on the best-selling book by Cheryl Strayed (Wild) and adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), Tiny Beautiful Things personifies the questions and answers that “Sugar” published online between 2010-2012. The production opens on Thursday, March 10th at 7:30pm and plays until March 20th. Dates and showtimes are March 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th, and19th at 7:30pm. Matinées are to be held on Sundays, March 13th and March 20th at 4pm.

Rehearsals have begun at Unicorn Theatre for Tiny Beautiful Things, based on the book by Cheryl Strayed (Wild) and adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding). Tiny Beautiful Things is directed by Sidonie Garrett and will feature a cast that includes Carla Noack, Darren Kennedy, Jackie Price, and Darrington Clark.

The Sierra Stages 2022 Season opens with the provocative, funny and ultimately uplifting play Tiny Beautiful Things. It is set to play for four weekends from March 4 – 26 at the historic Nevada Theatre in Nevada City. Tiny Beautiful Things is directed by Sands Hall and features Nevada County actors John Gardiner, Lois Masten, Tracie Nickle and Trevor Wade. Scenic design is by Pamela Hodges, lighting design is by Les Solomon, and costume design is by Paulette Sand-Gilbert. 

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati will be postponing its remaining 2021-2022 productions by a few weeks out of an abundance of caution and in anticipation of an increase of local COVID cases fueled by the Omicron variant and post-holiday surges.
