The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College have announced a grant award totaling $80,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) to support the recovery of the nonprofit arts and culture sector. Following New York state's historic investment for the arts, NYSCA has awarded $90 million since spring 2022 to a record number of artists and organizations across the state.

Norfolk & Norwich Festival have announced the full programme for 2023. The Festival will run for 17 days from 12 May - 28 May 2023 with artists from around the world and across the region sharing exceptional arts experiences, exploring the unique physical and cultural identities of the city and county.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage “Scaredy Kat Presents,” on Sunday, March 5, at 2 p.m., for one performance only. The show is currently touring the area through April as the inaugural production of the Playhouse Mobile Unit.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announced the full cast and creative team for Qui Nguyen's Poor Yella Rednecks. After the rollicking success of Vietgone in 2018, Nguyen returns to A.C.T. with the second chapter in his kickass, hip-hop trilogy about a Vietnamese family who swap war-torn Saigon for rural 1970's Arkansas.

Clara Newton, a Senior from Basha High School in Gilbert, achieved first place at the English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition for the Central and Northern Arizona Regional tournament. The annual competition was held in association with Southwest Shakespeare Company, along with 58 other chapters nationwide.

​​​​​​​Coro Allegro, Boston's award-winning LGBTQ+ and allied classical chorus, kicks off its centennial celebration of Daniel Pinkham on March 12 with performances of the late local composer's fanfares and works for double choir, brass quartet, and organ. The celebration culminates with a performance of  Pinkham's “The White Raven,” a Coro Allegro commission, on May 7.
