Single tickets for the North Charleston POPS! 2019-2020 season concerts will go on sale Monday, August 19 at 10 AM. The 2019-2020 season features something for everyone. IN SPACE (celebrating the music of John Williams) on Saturday, March 14; and CARPENTERS REMEMBERED (featuring guest artist Michelle Berting Brett) on Saturday, April 18. All shows will be performed at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.

To showcase Weintraub's business acumen, moxie, and sense of showmanship during his decades focusing on artist management and concert promotion, the GRAMMY Museum®, with support from the Weintraub Family Foundation, proudly announces Jerry Weintraub Presents…, a new exhibit showcasing original items from Weintraub's most notable tours, including personalized jackets, tour documents, contracts, and more. The exhibit will open on August 15, when Jerry's son, Michael Weintraub, Bob Finkelstein (Former President of Management 3 and Concerts West and Co-Chairman of Frank Sinatra Enterprises), John Meglen (Co-CEO Concerts West), Claire Rothman (General Manager and Vice President of the Forum), Sims Hinds (Tour promoter for John Denver, Neil Diamond, The Eagles and The Beach Boys) and Peter Jackson (Tour Management for The Moody Blues and Eric Clapton) will discuss the stories behind this exhibit moderated by music industry analyst and critic, Bob Lefsetz, at the Clive Davis Theater. The exhibit will run through early December 2019.

Suncoast Showroom will bring highly-acclaimed performers to the Suncoast Hotel and Casino in August, including "The Long Run - Tribute to The Eagles," singer Michael Monge, "December '63: Tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons," "Hot August Nights - Rob Garrett's Tribute to Neil Diamond" and "Led Zepagain: Performing the Music of Led Zeppelin." LCA Entertainment presents Jay and his Super Fan Band at the Township Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, August 16 at 8 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Alex Schacter and Gina Montalto Eagle Regiment Band Scholarship Fund in support of participant scholarships and the continued growth of the band programs at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, including the Eagle Regiment Marching Band.

A Neil Diamond musical is coming to Broadway!

The Doughboys proudly present their sixth studio album, Running For Covers, 13 brilliant new tracks from the band whose career spans pretty much all the decades rock'n'roll has been in existence. They once again worked at the House of Vibes with producerengineer Kurt Reil, and staged a return to their roots as among the finest interpreters of classic garage rock standards, harkening back to their days as one of the most popular bands in central Jersey in the mid 60's. They dig deep to find lesser-known gems of luminaries like the Kinks, The Band, The Stones, Herman's Hermits and the Fab Four. Then they venture further to unearth outside-genre nuggets from the likes of Lambert Hendricks & Ross, Mose Allison and Neil Diamond, stamping all the tracks with their trademark hoppin' grooves and riffs galore. Hey, they're even covering themselves - infusing new renditions of the A-sides of their two singles for Bell Records with the benefit of their collective years of musical experience and wisdom. The album is being released June 28 by Ram Records.

The first show will be the London premiere of Dave Malloy's celebrated song cycle Ghost Quartet brought to life by the team behind the recent hit production of Sweeney Todd which won great acclaim in London and New York. Ghost Quartet will run alongside a packed roster of late-night and Sunday performances of cabaret, improv, jazz, comedy, classical music and poetry. The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF) honors the great French composer Michel Legrand, who died in January this year, with a special Cin Salon series devoted to his life and work. Curated by one of his longtime collaborators and greatest interpreters, singer and actress Melissa Errico, Summer of Michel Legrand brings together seven of his films from his best known triumphs such as The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and The Young Girls of Rochefort to lesser known gems such as the enchanting fairy-tale musical Donkey Skin. Screenings take place on Tuesdays in July at 4pm and 7:30pm in FIAF's Florence Gould Hall.

In celebration of 86 Years of Theatre By The Sea (TBTS), owner and producer Bill Hanney has announced the 2019 summer schedule for the Monday Concerts and Events Series, which will be held on select Mondays throughout the season.
