Comedian Bert Kreischer will launch a brand-new tour, The Berty Boy Tour, in 2020 including a stop at DPAC in Durham, NC on Thursday, April 16, 2020.

Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM), Broadway Across America (BAA) and the AT&T Performing Arts Center are proud to announce that THE BAND'S VISIT, one of the most Tony Award-winning musicals in history, will be coming to the Winspear Opera House from February 4-23, 2020. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 8, 2019.  

One of the biggest hits in theatrical history, CATS will come to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center from March 27 to March 29 as part of a multi-season North American tour. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, November 11 at 10 AM. Reserved seat tickets are available at the North Charleston Coliseum Advance Ticket Office or online at Ticketmaster.com. Group seats are available by calling (843) 529-5007. The show is presented by the Best of Broadway series.

The Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) announced today that approximately 109,000 Chicagoans and visitors (9% more than in 2018) made nearly 370,000 site visits during Open House Chicago (OHC) 2019, held October 19 and 20. The CAC continued to expand the scope of OHC in 2019 offering 352 sites in 38 neighborhoodsa?"a record number for both. In addition, this year's OHC attracted a record number of volunteers: 3,319, who donated an estimated 20,000 hours to help shepherd guests behind-the-scenes through venues, many rarely open to the public, including repurposed mansions, stunning skyscrapers, opulent theaters, exclusive private clubs, industrial facilities, cutting-edge offices and breathtaking sacred spaces.

Edmund Bagnell, 1st Violinist & vocalist of the internationally acclaimed group Well-Strung, will star in the New York premiere of He Plays The Violin at Feinstein's/54 Below on Nov. 25 at 9:30 PM. The show is being developed by New Works Provincetown at The Art House this fall and includes a brand new song written for Mr. Bagnell by Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens & War Paint). Through stories and song, the evening celebrates all things music, from classical to standards and from pop to Broadway, and of course with a good dose of fiddle thrown in. This piece shows a different side of Edmund Bagnell in this personal and uplifting journey through music, and is written by and starring Edmund Bagnell, conceived by Mark Cortale, music directed by Matt Aument and directed by Michael Schiralli.

Summer: The Donna Summer Musical is now on tour across America! SUMMER features a book by Tony Award® nominee Colman Domingo, Robert Cary and Tony Award® winner Des McAnuff, with songs by Donna Summer, Giorgio Moroder, Paul Jabara and others and is directed by Des McAnuff and choreographed by Tony Award® winner Sergio Trujillo, with music supervised by Ron Melrose and scenic design by Tony Award® nominee Robert Brill, costumes by Tony Award® winner Paul Tazewell, lighting by Tony Award® winner Howell Binkley, sound by Tony Award® nominee Gareth Owen and projections by Sean Nieuwenhuis. The Broadway League announces that the 12th annual Jimmy Awards will take place on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan. The ceremony will feature 92 nominees from 46 regional awards programs around the US, making it the biggest Jimmy Awards in history.

On Friday, September 20th, fan-favorite jazz vocalist John Minnock presented an encore performance at Feinstein's/54 Below. Once again, Minnock was joined by NEA Jazz Master saxophonist Dave Liebman and his stellar band consisting of pianist Enrique Haneine, bassist Carlos Mena and drummer Pablo Eluchans. Feinstein's/54 Below was filled to the brim with an attentive and energetic audience who raucously applauded after every song.
