Music Director Osmo Vanska and the Minnesota Orchestra announced today that Costa Rica native Gabriel Campos Zamora has won the position of principal clarinet with the Orchestra following an extensive audition process. Mr. Campos most recently served as associate principal clarinet of the Kansas City Symphony. He begins his Minnesota Orchestra position on August 16 at the Tour Send-Off concert at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, then travels with the Orchestra on its four-country European Tour at the end of August.
River Oaks Chamber Orchestra continues its 2013 – 2014 ROCO Chamber Series on Sunday, March 9 at 4 p.m. with a concert titled Rhythms of Paris and New Orleans at Gremillion &Co. Capital Stage has announced the leadership team of Jonathan Williams as the company's new artistic director and Erin Lucas in the company's new position of managing director. Williams is one of the co-founders of Capital Stage and has been the company's producing director for the past four years. Lucas also has a background as a theatre founder (Flashpoint Theatre Company in Philadelphia) along with managing director experience in Portland, Oregon at Profile theatre and CoHo Productions.

Capital Stage continues its ninth season, THEHOMEFRONT, Capital Stage's 2013-14 Season of Soul-Stirring plays with an original adaptation of William Shakespeare's dark tragedy, MACBETH.Shakespeare, the father of English literature wrote MACBETH between 1603 and 1607. Since then, the Macbeths have remained one of the most fascinating couples in all of drama. Capital Stage's production will be adapted and directed by artistic director,Stephanie Gularte and will feature Scott Coopwood and Janis Stevens as the murderous couple. MACBETH runs from October 23 through November 24 with a press opening on October 26.

River Oaks Chamber Orchestra (ROCO) will take a unique musical voyage far and near this upcoming season titled Around the World in ROCO Ways. That theme is reflected in the 2013 - 2014 ROCO Chamber Series with a schedule of six Sunday afternoon concerts at Gremillion & Co. Fine Arts Annex. The ROCO Chamber Series features chamber groups drawn from within the orchestra. They are intimate concerts that highlight the virtuosity of individual musicians and ensembles and are intentionally designed to draw the audience into musical conversations.
