South Coast Repertory's Theatre for Young Audiences Series Closes with THE NIGHT FAIRY

A very small fairy encounters very big creatures in South Coast Repertory's final production of the Theatre for Young Audiences series: a new adaptation by John Glore of Newbery Medal-winning author Laura Amy Schlitz's book "The Night Fairy." Capital Stage Presents Sacramento Premiere of THE NORTH PLAN, Now thru 2/24

On the 30th Anniversary of cult classic film Mommie Dearest, Jamie Morris' twisted comedy returns to its roots in Provincetown. In the summer of 2003 Mommie Queerest premiered in Provincetown to sold-out crowds and has since played every major city in America. Featuring an all-male cast, this LA Weekly Theater Award-winning play tells the now-famous story of Hollywood's baddest Mama and her rocky relationship with adopted daughter Christina, with a twist: What if Joan Crawford had really been a man?

HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE Opens at Capital Stage Tonight, 5/19

Capital Stage previously announced a change to its 2011-12 schedule. How I Learned to Drive, originally scheduled for a July/August run, opens at the midtown theatre tonight, May 19. The Sacramento premiere of Christopher Shinn's Dying City will move to the summer production dates, July 18 - August 12, 2012. 'We're changing the performance schedule of the these two productions to accommodate a scheduling conflict with one of our key artists,' explains Producing Director, JoNathan Williams.
