Syracuse Jazz Fest - the popular and long-running music festival which has been on hiatus the past 5 years - will be making it's return to Downtown Syracuse's Clinton Square and a variety of indoor city nightspots in June of 2022.

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band are bringing the New Orleans spirit, along with the unstoppable Nathan Williams and the Zydeco Cha-Chas, to Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts on Feb. 11. 

Wednesday, February 19 will be the official kick-off for Mardi Gras at Spruce Peak.  Join us for Mardi Gras inspired family fun and activities, including special themed food offerings and cocktails, kids DIY creations, complimentary photos, and end your day at an amazing concert with two Louisiana musical legends, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Nathan & The Zydeco Cha Chas.

On this Day of the Dead, Spruce Peak Arts has announced a Mardi Gras Boogaloo on Wednesday, February 19 at 7pm. Start your celebration enjoying the tempo, power and dance moves of two Louisiana musical legends, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Nathan and the Zydeco Cha-Chas.

Carnegie Hall Citywide Night is the four-hour finale of the Carnegie Hal Citywide series at Bryant Park.

Carnegie Hall today announced the 2019-2020 season of Carnegie Hall Citywide, a free concert series that brings music to all five boroughs of New York City. Presented in partnership with local community organizations, the performances showcase outstanding mainstage artists and rising stars, tapping into the pulse of the city and bringing people together to share in the joy of music. Carnegie Hall Citywide builds on Carnegie Hall's tradition of bringing free concerts to New York City neighborhoods for more than 40 years.

ROCO's (River Oaks Chamber Orchestra) 14th concert season, entitled "Games People Play," kicks off on September 21 & 22 with the world premiere of Maxime Goulet's Checkmate. Based on the legendary 1996 match between IBM's Deep Blue computer and then reigning world chess champion, Garry Kasparov, Checkmate is an interactive musical game of chess between ROCO's full 40-piece orchestra and world-renowned pianist Lara Downes. With Downes representing Kasparov and ROCO playing the role of Deep Blue, the sequence of musical themes will follow the chess moves of this famous game with animation projected above the stage in real time.

After seeing Peter and the Starcatcher at Theatre Tallahassee, I have a deeper appreciation for how Peter got his name. Superb physical comedy, seasoned actors, and a sense of whimsy combined for a delightful show.
