Amazon Studios today announced the first group of series regulars set to star in the new Amazon Original series based on stories from the iconic 'The Lord of the Rings' novels by J.R.R. Tolkien. Buckhead Film Group and Reel One Entertainment Worldwide announced today that Vertical Entertainment has acquired the North American rights for Robert Eagar's faith-based sports drama, FULL COUNT. The film is slated for a U.S. theatrical and VOD release on Friday, October 25, 2019.

Joe Prentice Productions today announces a new production of Olivier Award-winning writer Laura Wade's critically acclaimed dark comedy Posh, starring Tyger Drew-Honey (TV's Outnumbered). Heading out on a five-week UK tour, Posh will open at Oxford Playhouse on Tuesday 3 September and will tour to Cambridge Arts Theatre, Theatre Royal Bath, Rose Theatre Kingston and Theatr Clwyd, Mold until 26 October 2019. SHOWTIME has announced that Rory Kinnear (PENNY DREADFUL) has joined PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS, the next chapter of the PENNY DREADFUL saga, in the series regular role of Dr. Peter Craft. Craft is a successful German pediatrician and the head of the German-American Bund, an organization he hopes will keep the United States isolated from the growing threat of war in Europe. The series also stars Natalie Dormer, Daniel Zovatto, Adriana Barraza, Jessica Garza, Johnathan Nieves and Tony® and Emmy®winner Nathan Lane. Tony and Golden Globe® award winner and three-time Oscar® nominee John Logan, the creator, writer and executive producer of the Emmy nominated series PENNY DREADFUL, continues in those same roles. Deadline reports that Showtime's upcoming adaptation of Penny Dreadful will film in Los Angeles due to tax help from the city itself.
