Naked Angels & Tuesdays@9 Find a New Home with FRIGID New York

Following the recent closure of Theater 80 Naked Angels will be moving their popular weekly cold reading series, Tuesdays@9 to The Kraine Theater (85 E 4th St, New York, NY 10003) with FRIGID New York beginning Tuesday, April 11th. 

NO CHILD... By Nilaja Sun Is Next At Kitchen Theatre Company

The 2022-2023 season will continue at Kitchen Theatre Company with NO CHILD… by Nilaja Sun. Performances of NO CHILD… begin at the Kitchen Theatre Company in the Percy Browning Performance Space on Tuesday, March 28 and will run through Sunday, April 16.

Filigree Theatre to Present TIDE Beginning in April

Austin-based independent theatre company, The Filigree Theatre, have announced the dates for their upcoming production, the World Premiere of “Tide.” The 'site-specific' show will open Thursday, April 20, starting at 8 p.m. at the Moontower Cider Company.

Laura Ekstrand Brings LOSING MY RELIGION to United Solo Festival

Losing My Religion, a solo show written and performed by Laura Ekstrand, will be presented as a part of the United Solo Festival on March 9 at 7:00 pm at Theatre Row Theatre at 410 West 42nd Street, NYC.  The play is directed by Jason Szamreta, with lights and sound by Zach Pizza.

Leni Riefenstahl Comedy Premieres at UNITED SOLOFEST 2023

Picture Pending Productions present the World Premiere of LENI'S LAST LAMENT, by Gil Kofman. Directed by Richard Caliban (OBIE and Outer Critics Circle award-winning production of Mac Wellman's Crowbar) and starring OBIE winner Jodie Markell. Part of the United SoloFest Saturday March 25th at 7pm on Theater Row, 410 W. 42nd St. NYC. 

Lee Tyler to Star In Film TOWNHOUSE CONFIDENTIAL

Actor Lee Tyler stars in the lead role of George Barrow in 'Townhouse Confidential, a romantic comedy feature film with a limited theatrical release starting on January 20, 2023, at The Village East by Angelika, 181-189 2nd Avenue in NYC. On January 31, 2023, the film will be released on digital platforms, and there will also be a DVD available, with distribution by Vision Films.

New Musical LOST SHANGHAI Gets Concert Staging in December

HONG KONG JOURNEYS will present a concert staging of excerpts from LOST SHANGHAI, a new musical with book/ lyrics by Angel Lam and Richard Caliban and music by Angel Lam, on Friday, December 2 at Merkin Hall.

Amanda Ryan Joins The Company Of The World Première Of Terry Johnson's THE SEX PARTY

The Menier Chocolate Factory has announced that Amanda Ryan joins the company as Magdalena for the world première of Terry Johnson's The Sex Party – joining the previously announced Will Barton (Tim), Lisa Dwan (Gilly), John Hopkins (Jake), Timothy Hutton (Jeff), Jason Merrells (Alex), Pooya Mohseni (Lucy), Molly Osborne (Hetty) and Kelly Price (Camilla). Amanda Donohoe has had to withdraw for personal reasons.

New York Stage and Film Announces Liz Carlson as Interim Artistic Director

New York Stage and Film announced today that Artistic Director Chris Burney will be leaving at the end of his contract in December 2022 to pursue new, professional opportunities in education and commercial theatre. Liz Carlson, who has been part of NYSAF for more than 15 years, most recently serving as Artistic Producer, will become the Interim Artistic Director effective immediately.

MY SHIKSA BOYFRIEND Comes to the United Solo Theater Festival

After a successful run with Kervigo Ensemble Theater in October of 2021, My Shiksa Boyfriend, directed by Christine Cirker, returns to the New York City stage! Written and performed by Arielle Beth Klein, this solo play will be going up Off Broadway at Theater Row on October 23rd at 7pm the United Solo Theater Festival. 

Ronald Guttman to Star in Solo Theatrical Adaptation of ALBERT CAMUS' THE FALL at The Huron Club at Soho Playhouse

Albert Camus’ The Fall will come to life onstage as Belgian-born actor Ronald Guttman embodies the anguish of exiled Parisian lawyer Jean-Baptiste Clamence. Performances of Albert Camus’ The Fall begin October 13 at The Huron Club at Soho Playhouse, with an opening set for Wednesday, October 19, for a limited run through November 19.
