New York Youth Symphony Appoints Michael Thomas As New Jazz Director

The New York Youth Symphony has announced that Michael Thomas has been appointed Director of the NYYS Jazz program, beginning with 2023/24 season. Mr. Thomas follows Andy Clausen, who will step down from his position at the end of the 2022/23 season after seven seasons. Mr. Thomas is no stranger to innovation himself.

Review: TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD at Gammage Auditorium

Aaron Sorkin's stage adaptation of Harper Lee's classic novel TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is playing at Gammage Auditorium through December 6th. The book has been re-imagined by the Academy Award winning screenwriter. He's crafted a satisfying theatre experience with his trademark crackling dialogue serving a feast of material for the show's flawless cast.

SELL OUT By The Amazing Theatre Company Opens This Week

The Amazing Theatre Company has announced the opening of their new play titled Sell Out. The play opens on Saturday, November 5th at The Odd Fellows Lodge 6405 in Sandy Spring, Maryland, occupying a building from 1906 that was the only place for social gatherings for African Americans in the country at the time. It's also within walking distance of a Montgomery County underground railroad location, giving the location even more historical significance.
