The Toronto company of Dear Evan Hansen celebrated their official opening night on March 28th! The cast includes Robert Markus as 'Evan Hansen', Stephanie La Rochelle as 'Zoe Murphy', Jessica Sherman as 'Heidi Hansen', Claire Rankin as 'Cynthia Murphy', Evan Buliung as 'Larry Murphy', Sean Patrick Dolan as 'Connor Murphy', Alessandro Costantini as 'Jared Kleinman', and Shakura Dickson as 'Alana Beck', along with Zachary Noah Piser as the 'Evan' alternate and understudies Erin Breen, Malinda Carroll, Jay Davis, David Jeffery, Laura Mae Nason, Kaitlyn Santa Juana and Josh Strobl.

Inland Pacific Ballet Presents THE LITTLE MERMAID

Inland Pacific Ballet returns this spring with its spectacular landmark production of The Little Mermaid, the classic tale for all ages about the young mermaid willing to give up her life in the sea for love. This colorful and engaging production combines classical ballet and creative puppetry to create a magical ocean world with a cast of delightful sea creatures, magnificent sets, and elaborate costumes. Aerial Technology and brilliant new lighting enhance the underwater illusion and bring The Little Mermaid to life in this enchanting undersea adventure at Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside, April 6-7; Lewis Family Playhouse in Rancho Cucamonga, April 13-14; and April 27-18 at Bridges Auditorium at Pomona College in Claremont.

GCTC Announces A Diverse 2019–20 Season - BANG BANG, DAISY, UNHOLY, and More!

Today, Ottawa's Great Canadian Theatre Company unveiled programming for its 2019-20 season, rolling out the red carpet for five plays (and one multi-disciplinary festival) guaranteed to bring down the house. Next season, audiences will be treated to plays that have proven to please. From a debate between four women on feminism and religion to a hard-hitting comedy about a police shooting to a Dora Award-winning collaboration between a queer theatre-maker and an Inuk artist, there's a lot to like at GCTC in 2019-20.

SILENT SKY Announced At The Long Beach Playhouse

Lauren Gunderson's play, Silent Sky, is based on the true story of astronomer Henrietta Leavitt. The play opens in 1900, when Leavitt is working in the Harvard Observatory in the 'woman's room.' These women 'computers,' are tasked with measuring and cataloging stars. They work from photographic plates because women were not allowed to touch the telescopes. The astronomer for whom they work calculates projects in 'girl hours,' has no time for the women's probing theories and has no problem taking credit for their ideas.
