Cinnabar Theater to Return to Live Performances With Molly Smith Metzler's CRY IT OUT

Sonoma County's popular Cinnabar Theater returns to live performances September 10 - 26 with the local debut of multi-award-winning playwright Molly Smith Metzler's acclaimed comedy Cry It Out, a smart, funny, and equally emotional work about three new mothers from three different backgrounds with one shared struggle.

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT Returns Tomorrow; Nardia Ruth Joins Cast

Nardia Ruth will join the production as Nefertari from Friday 17 September 2021. Nardia is a 2021 graduate of London’s Royal Academy of Music and a Disney Theatrical Productions Scholar and an Ian Fleming Musical Theatre Award recipient. The role of Nefertari in The Prince of Egypt will mark Nardia’s professional and West End debut. 

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT Will Play to Full Capacity Beginning 23 July

Following the current temporary suspension of performances due to Government Track and Trace legislation, the production will play three socially distanced performances on Wednesday 21 July at 7.30pm and Thursday 22 July at 2.30pm and 7.30pm before gradually reverting to full capacity.

Arena Stage Announces TONI STONE Cast and Creative Team

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the company for Toni Stone, written by Arena alumna resident playwright Lydia R. Diamond. Set in the 1950s, Toni Stone was the first woman to play baseball in the Negro Leagues, also making her the first woman to play in a professional men's league.

CRY IT OUT to be Presented by The Windham Theatre Guild

The Windham Theatre Guild will present their first live show for 2021 in Willimantic’s Burton Leavitt Theatre…it’s Cry It Out by Molly Smith-Metzler, opening Friday, July 23rd, 2021.

Chicago Tap Theatre presents Tap Secret!, Sunday, July 10, at 3 and 7 p.m. live at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, 9501 Skokie Blvd.  In Tap Secret!, it's the 90s and pop music is under attack and only Paulie, a young dancer's rhythm can save it.

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT Announces Complete Cast and Company

The Prince of Egypt, the hit musical based on the classic DreamWorks Animation film, has announced the complete cast, orchestra and company of 154 who will lead the musical back into London's Dominion Theatre in 16 days, in accordance with UK Government Step 3 protocols (socially distanced audiences), as previously announced.  

CRY IT OUT Will Be Performed at Rover Dramawerks This Month

Rover Dramawerks continues their 21st Season with the dramatic comedy Cry It Out by Molly Smith Metzler. Performances will be at The Core Theatre, 518 W. Arapaho Rd. in Richardson, running just two weekends: June 17-26 on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Arena Stage Announces Three-Year Partnership With Step Afrika!

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater has announced a newly formed three-year partnership with Washington, D.C.-based dance company Step Afrika!. The partnership will begin in Fall 2021 as part of Arena’s 2021/22 Season and continue through 2024.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater has partnered with DC Health and MedStar Health in this effort to vaccinate as many residents as possible against COVID-19. The site will operate Thursdays – Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the next three months.
