Musical Theatre West (MTW), Long Beach's premier theater company, will bring some of Dolly Parton's award-winning music to life for its first show of the 2023 season.

Musical Theatre West has announced the cast of its final production of the season, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella. With an enchanting ensemble that boasts talent seen on Broadway, National Tours, stage and screen, the updated take on this favorite fairytale will set the scene of holiday magic for the whole family.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at North Coast Repertory Theatre has now been extended through August 19th due to popular demand!

A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, playing through August 12th at North Coast Repertory Theatre is a colorful and fun summer trip to Ancient Rome, as told with a small detour through vaudeville for style. The play even announces its intentions at the top of the show 'Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight' just so there is no confusion.

Excitement has been running so high for North Coast Rep's Season 36 closer, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM. The theatre has already extended the beloved musical by one week to accommodate the ticket requests. Composer Stephen Sondheim has created a laugh-a-minute audience favorite with songs such as "Comedy Tonight," "Lovely" and "Everyone Ought to Have a Maid." Winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical, FORUM was written by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, who based their farce on the over-the-top antics of the Roman slave Pseudolus, who will do anything to win his freedom and bring two lovers together. Tickets are already flying out the door, so it's best to order early.

In this case there is not a famous star attached to the role. Carly Bracco is an immmensely talented singer, dancer, and actress who toured extensively with Cathy Rigby and played Wendy. She brings so much of herself to the role and is so much fun to watch, that nothing is lacking, making this Peter Pan a first class production.

White Christmas runs November 25th- December 4th with press opening today, November 25th. SDMT will also present the World Premiere of Miracle on 34th Street: A Live Musical Radio Play directed by Colleen Kollar Smith, adapted by Lance Arthur Smith, with original music by Jon Lorenz. Miracle on 34th Street runs December 1st - 23rd at the Horton Grand Theatre, with press opening on Thursday, December 8th.
