AIM Theatre (AIM) will present a brand-new cabaret celebrating the songs of composer Charles Miller, for two shows only at the Union Theatre. Charlie’s Girls will feature a trio of familiar West End faces singing some of the most iconic compositions by one of the UK’s top musical theatre composers.

Olivier Award-winner Lyndsey Turner directs this electrifying new production with set design by Es Devlin in a ‘magnificent restaging’ (The Telegraph) of Arthur Miller’s masterpiece, a gripping parable of power and its abuse.

HRS Productions and Orgasmico’s Exorcistic: The Unauthorized Rock Musical Parody of The Exorcist has taken up residence at Three Clubs in Hollywood playing Fridays and Saturdays through September 22, 2023. This original rock musical co-directed by Chadd McMillan and Alli Miller-Fisher, features book, lyrics and music by Michael Shaw Fisher. Camal Pugh choreographed the triple-threat cast of: Nick Bredosky, Brian Logan Dales, Kim Dalton, Frankie Grande, Emma Hunton, Mitchell Gerrard Johnson, Janaya Mahealani Jones, Jesse Merlin, Michael Shaw Fisher, Leigh Wullf and Gabby Sanalitro. Rotating Diva guests include: Carly Jibson, Garret Clayton, Jeff Sumner, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Elle Deran, Matt Shively and Brendan Hunt. Composer Rene Orth's newest opera, 10 Days in a Madhouse will have its world premiere at Opera Philadelphia on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 7:00pm, with additional performances on Saturday, September 23 at 2:00pm, Tuesday, September 26 and Thursday, September 28 at 7:00pm, and Saturday, September 30 at 2:00pm.

Full casting and production team have been announced for City Lit’s forty-third season opener - the world premiere of THE INNOCENCE OF SEDUCTION by Chicago playwright Mark Pracht. It is the second play in his projected “Four-Color Trilogy” of plays set during the early years of the comic book industry. The first play in the trilogy, THE MARK OF KANE, opened City Lit’s forty-second season. 

Following a twice-extended run of My Name is Asher Lev in 2016— making it the most successful production in 1st Stage's history— 1st Stage brings another Aaron Posner and Chaim Potok adaptation to the region. 

Regina Opera will present a free operatic concert on August 20, 2023 featuring 4 opera soloists:  sopranos Tate Chu and Cate Webber; tenors Josh Avant and Nikhil Krishna; flutist Richard Paratley; accompanied by pianist Catherine Miller. 

Along with Doric Wilson's play Forever After  Playwright Danielle Frimer's play A Marriage Is A Story We Tell And Keep Telling will hit the stage at The Siggy at The Flea Theater this August. In this production a queer couple hides in the supply closet moments before what they hope will be their perfect wedding. Their jitters rocket them into a metaphysical meta theatrical manic meditation on the heteronormative nature of the marriage industry complex.  

Opera San José will launch its 40th anniversary season with an all-new production of Charles Gounod's Romeo and Juliet, directed by OSJ General Director/CEO Shawna Lucey, in her first production since taking the helm of the company. Romeo and Juliet follows on the heels of Lucey's critically acclaimed La Traviata for San Francisco Opera, which is scheduled to be remounted at Los Angeles Opera this fall.
