The Greek National Opera’s 2022-23 season curated by GNO Artistic Director Giorgos Koumendakis will feature ten new opera and ballet productions, one newly commissioned opera, five revivals of past productions, music concerts, major co-productions with some of the world’s foremost opera houses, collaborations with leading conductors and more.

Throughout the decades, some shows have stood the test of time while newer productions test their strength to stand among the best. And sometimes, you see a new show about an old tale that is a sight for sore eyes. In DCPA's current prodution of Quixote Nuevo, audiences are delighted to a family tale with some twists and turns that would leave even Miguel de Cervantes in stitches.

Fulton Theatre's 6th show of the 21/22 Marquee Season is the dynamic, exhilarating Man of La Mancha. This epic musical is based on Miguel de Cervantes' seventeenth century novel, Don Quixote, arguably the first true novel of the modern era. As the play begins, we see Cervantes and his manservant thrown into a dungeon where they are to be held as they await trial before the Spanish Inquisition.

Boston Ballet has announced programming for the 2022–2023 season, celebrating the return to the human experience of dance with a full six-program season for the first time since the 2019–2020 season.

A Spanish-themed production, Don Quixote, brings to life Miguel de Cervantes’ literary classic of the same title. Set in Barcelona, the ballet follows Don Quixote, a kooky but aging knight whose North Star is chivalry.

After being postponed in February due to COVID-19, The Joffrey Ballet presents the international classic Don Quixote for the first time since its world premiere in 2011.

San Jose Playhouse presents Man of La Mancha in June. Performances run June 4 through June 26. (Previews on June 2 and 3) Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30pm.

Asolo Repertory Theatre announced its 2022-2023. The season kicks off in November with one of the greatest American musicals of the 20th century, Kander and Ebb’s iconic CABARET (Nov. 16 – Dec. 31).
