An original cast recording of LCT's new musical Flying Over Sunset is set to be released! The cast recording will be released digitally on January 28, and on CD March 11. 

Flying Over Sunset follows writer Aldous Huxley (played by Harry Hadden-Paton); playwright, diplomat, and congresswoman, Clare Boothe Luce (Carmen Cusack); and film legend Cary Grant (Tony Yazbeck) - each of whom in real life experimented with the drug LSD.

Set in the 1950’s, FLYING OVER SUNSET is a work of fiction inspired by the lives of three extraordinary and accomplished people - writer Aldous Huxley (played by Harry Hadden-Paton); playwright, diplomat, and congresswoman, Clare Boothe Luce (Carmen Cusack); and film legend Cary Grant (Tony Yazbeck) - each of whom in real life experimented with the drug LSD.

Dorrance Dance notes on their website that “tap dance is a subversive form.” The radical delight, playfulness, and palpable trust between the members of the Dorrance Dance company feels beautifully subversive in another holiday season of covid anxiety, distancing, and skepticism. What better time, then, for Dorrance Dance to share tap dancing with the next generation and celebrate its legacy of resilience and joy in the face of adversity.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced an online ticket lottery and student rush policy for its new musical FLYING OVER SUNSET, beginning with the musical’s first preview on Thursday, November 11 at 8pm at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

The 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center's 2021-22 Mainstage Series continues on Thursday, November 18 with Ripple, a new show from Yin Yue Dance Company. Acclaimed choreographer Yin Yue created Ripple as an evening of two duets and two solos linked together as a single continuous show.

The third American Tap Dance Foundation TAP JAM will take place on Sunday, November 14, 2:30-4pm at The American Tap Dance Center, 154 Christopher Street #2B, Between Washington & Greenwich Streets. Tap dancers will join for an afternoon of tap improvisation and surprise guests, hosted by local hoofer and ATDF Artist-in-Residence Jared Alexander.
