Patty Griffin Shares New Song

GRAMMY® Award winner Patty Griffin has shared a new song from her self-titled new album out March 8 on her own PGM Recordings label via Thirty Tigers. 'Where I Come From,' a classic Griffin painting rich with sunset reds and oranges and shadows, is perhaps an ode to a past life one looks back on with both sadness and fondness. It premieres today via Rolling Stone Country.

Garden Theatre 2019-2020 Season Announced

At the opening of the 2018-2019 season production of The Legend of Georgia McBride, Garden Theatre's Artistic Director Rob Winn Anderson took the stage to announce the Garden's 2019-2020 season. Current subscribers can renew their subscriptions immediately. New subscriptions start at $90 and go on sale March 19. Single tickets go on sale May 8, 2019.

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) is proud to present a concert that features Michael Wilson, Andrew Simon, Benjamin Moermond and Lin Jiang, four of the principal players of the orchestra. In this only performance on 11 January 2019 in the Tsuen Wan Town Hall Auditorium, conductor David Stern will return to direct the orchestra for the first time since 2017.

2019 St. Louis Arts Awards Entertainment Announced

New work and emerging young talent take center stage at the 28th annual St. Louis Arts Awards on January 21 at the Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta Hotel. The Arts and Education Council (A&E) has announced that entertainment for their signature fundraiser will include an audience favorite from The Big Muddy Dance Company, a preview of new work from special guest Bryan Batt along with performances from 11-year-old piano phenom Jerry Chang and The City of Music All-Star Chorus.

Performances of the classic Charles Dickens story begin November 15 and continue for a six-and-a-half-week engagement through December 30, 2018. Yesterday, October 15th at The Lotos Club (5 East 66th Street, New York City), the 2018 recipients of the biennial Horton Foote Prize, were celebrated for excellence in American theater. The 2018 Prize for Outstanding New American Play, presented to a work produced in the 2016-17 or 2017-18 seasons, was awarded to Cambodian Rock Band by Lauren Yee. The 2018 Prize for Promising New American Play, presented to a previously unproduced work, was awarded to India Pale Ale by Jaclyn Backhaus.

Playing On Air announced today the three winners of the inaugural James Stevenson Prize for comedic short plays. First Prize ($7,500, plus a Playing On Air recording for radio and podcast distribution) has been awarded to Hate Baby by Gracie Gardner. (Gardner is also the winner of the 2017 Relentless Award and author of the New York Times Critic's Pick Athena.) Second Prize ($2,000) has been awarded to Hedgehog Years by Lily Akerman. Third Prize ($1,000) has been awarded to Horse Latitudes (Who Wants to be an Equine Extra?) by Elizabeth Logun.

Steven Good Will Have a Few Bad Ideas as Dr. Pomatter in WAITRESS Tour

The diner will be 'Opening Up' with Steven Good in the role of 'Dr. Pomatter' on October 26th when the tour is in San Francisco, CA at The Golden Gate Theatre. Waitress is the hit Broadway musical from Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles inspired by Adrienne Shelly's 2007 motion picture.
