A LOVELY LINEAGE, based on an original concept by Michael Sterling, captures the historic Broadway and Hollywood lineage of Kristin Towers-Rowles starting with her grandmother, the legendary Kathryn Grayson who was an MGM darling and a Hollywood pioneer having starred in some of the most beloved movie musicals of the 1950s including Kiss Me, Kate and Show Boat. Her famous lineage does not stop there - Kristin's grandfather was the dashing and talented Broadway leading man Johnnie Johnston; her mother, Patricia Towers, was a Las Vegas headliner; and her father is the prolific character actor Robert Towers.

Television and Broadway Musical Theatre performer TONOCCUS MCCLAIN debuts his first ever cabaret concert LIVING A WHY NOT LIFE with Musical Director Rob Woyshner on Sunday, January 20th at Sterling's Upstairs at The Federal in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, CA. McClain has hosted television such TV shows as FOX Family's California Summer Countdown, reporting and anchoring Channel One News; and performed in Beauty and the Beast live at the Hollywood Bowl, Game of Thrones live at the LA Forum, numerous shows at the Disneyland Resort, and multiple performances at the Academy Awards. He also traveled North America touring in over 400 performances of The Lion King (Banzai u/s) for six years. He's crossed the globe singing in countries like South Korea, Spain, Germany, Mexico, the Czech Republic, Argentina, Canada, Australia, and across the Caribbean and back.

I want to be spot.on clear from the onset that actress/singer Claire Adams is an enormous talent. She is pretty in a distinct way...not drop.dead gorgeous, but possessing beauty and warmth that start deep within. Her divine musical instrument and great vocal range are undeniable. On Sunday November 25, Adams presented her one hour long debut cabaret at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal to a terrific house, considering this was a holiday weekend. A finalist in LA's Next Great Stage Star 2015, Adams has since moved on to dazzle LA audiences in Assassins, Violet, among other shows and is currently essaying She Loves Me at Actors Co-op. A graduate of USC, she is adept at playing edgy characters and has most definitely chosen the right profession as a musical comedy actress.

On Monday, August 27 LA's Next Great Stage Star 2018 Presented by Princess Cruises came to a thrilling conclusion on the Debbie Reynolds Mainstage of the El Portal Theatre in NoHo. After a very entertaining 90-minute program in which the 10 contestants gave 150% to their monologues and songs from Broadway shows, eight contestants were eliminated and the top two finalists were selected. It was then decided,  from the consensus of the judges, to add a third runnerup. Then each of the three proceeded to perform a second number after which the distinguished panel of judges made the final decision. Musical director par excellence Jennifer Lin accompanied at the piano throughout the three hour show.

3-D Theatricals of Los Angeles concludes its 2017-2018 Season with the international smash hit Mamma Mia!, dazzling audiences on stage from August 3 - 12 (with an official press opening August 4) at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center and August 17 - 26 at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.

For its 22nd consecutive year, the west coast Actors Fund celebrated Broadway's Biggest Night at their 22nd Annual Tony Awards® Viewing Party on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA. This year's gala honored Tony-nominated book writer ('Wicked') and Emmy-nominated writer and producer ('My So Called Life') Winnie Holzman with the Julie Harris Award for Artistic Achievement. The Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, has been the premier curator of cutting-edge interactive storytelling for more than a decade. The 2018 Tribeca Immersive program showcases works by artists who are pushing boundaries, using technology to tell stories and create new experiences. It's always a pleasure to come to a cabaret debut and have a far greater experience than expected. Such was the case when I attended Jordan Goodsell: Into Love on Monday June 26 at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal. I had seen Goodsell in 3-D Theatricals' The Addams Family a few years back, but, frankly, it was an ensemble role, and not enough to give me an indication of his exorbitant talent. He is currently a big hit in Frozen: The Musical Live at the Hyperion for Disney Theatrical Productions at Disney Resort in Anaheim. It's no wonder as this handsome six foot 24 year-old has a magnetic appeal. And then when he opens his mouth to sing, what comes out of his baritone/tenor range is a powerhouse voice that commands atention.

Tony Award winner Betty Buckley (Broadway's "Cats," "Sunset Boulevard," "The Mystery Of Edwin Drood, "Song & Dance, "Pippin," "1776," "Triumph Of Love" and "Carrie"; M. Night Shyamalan's "Split"; and TV's "Eight Is Enough") was honored with the Julie Harris Award for Artistic Achievement on Sunday, June 11 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
